5 Reasons to Try Dolphin Browser for Mobile Web Surfing
To be honest, I never thought much about the browser I used for surfing the web on my phone. I just used one I was used to using and went on with my day. But recently I had the chance to try the Dolphin Browser, a free mobile app that’s suppose to make web surfing easier and more intuitive. That’s why it’s called Dolphin Browser — because it’s smart like a dolphin!
So check out a few things you can do to really up the game when you’re on the internet late at night on your phone. I can’t be the only one who does when I’m in bed after the kids are asleep, right?
Quick & Easy Installation
I’m an Android user and I love how easy it was to find and download the Dolphin Browser on Google Play. In about a minute, I had it downloaded and installed and was ready to get browsing!
Easy to Use
The browser is so easy to use with a home screen that has everything you need to get browsing. If you tap on the star on the upper left side of the browser, you have full access to your bookmarks and can even sign in to sync them. On the right side is an icon that looks like a puzzle piece. Tapping it gets you another toolbar with a variety of options:
- Night (one of my favorite features!)
- No Image
It’s also where you can add third party add-ons like a Dropbox add-on, web to pdf, and many others!
The toolbar at the bottom of the screen is great for opening a new tab or returning to the home page. It’s really easy to just start exploring as soon as you have the app.
As I admitted, I use my phone a lot at night to browse the internet. Yes, I lay in the dark in bed and check out what’s going on. Which means the night mode in the Dolphin Browser is practically made for me. It switches to a darker background and dims the brightness so I don’t have to play with the settings on my phone. It’s just a little bit of convenience that I appreciate.
Get In Sync
If you’re like me, you also like to have things integrated well when you’re online. With the browser you can synch with things like Facebook, Evernote, and others. So it makes life just a little bit easier and what busy parent isn’t about things being easy? I know I am! Even when it comes to my web browsing. Or maybe especially when it comes to my web browsing!
One of my absolute favorite things about the Dolphin Browser is the fact that I can change the theme on it. It might not be the most practical feature, but I sure do like it! There’s just something I’ve always liked about being able to customize and personalize things like design and color. So it’s fun to be able to do it on my mobile web browser!
So it’s a mix of practical and useful with fun too which means I’m enjoying using it. And if you’re iOS user, you can get it too. So it’s not just for Android!
