Active Play with Elefun Snackin’ Safari
Enjoying a quiet afternoon with your toddler. Sitting peacefully and enjoying the last few days of summer? If you are then I’m jealous! it’s quiet here right now because it’s nap time. But we’ve been going strong since W woke up this morning! Go go go, nap then go go go again! Does that sound familiar? It’s my life so I’m always on the hunt for activities that promote active play. The newest addition to our home is the Elefun Snackin’ Safari game from Hasbro.
If you have an active child like I do, it can be exhausting. But it’s also something I want to encourage. Getting kids up and moving seems like a challenge these days. So I’m determined to take advantage of W’s energy and keep him playing! The game is a great way to get the whole family involved!
Grab Snacks with Elefun & Friends
Although the Elefun Snackin’ Safari game is designed for ages 3 and up, W was excited to give it a try. J was excited too! Anything that gets dad and son playing together is awesome in my book. I love watching them bond and make memories. So we opened the game and within minutes we were ready to play.
The game required a bit of assembly. I had to put together the Elephant game pieces but that only took a few minutes. Then we spread out the game cards and started playing!
There are different ways to play. You can match colors or different snack foods. It’s a great way to practice some basic skills that will help your toddler in school. It’s also a great way to get moving. W didn’t quite have the coordination to bounce his elephant spring down to catch the cards. It took J some practice too!
I love that the game is easy to clean up. I just snap the trunks back into the elephant heads and put them in the box. Add in the game cards and clean up is done! For a busy mom, quick clean up is always a perk!
Family Game Night with Elefun
While W was still a bit too young to be able to play the game correctly, it is a great addiction to family game night. Family game night is a great way to spend quality time together without spending much money! If you’re looking for games geared toward the younger members of the family (3 years and up) then Elefun Snackin’ Safari might be the game for you!
We had a blast and laughed a lot. Well, I mostly laughed at J because I was pretty sure a 31-year old man should be able to play fairly well. Not so much!
What games do you play that keep everyone active during Family Game Night?
