Before I had a child, I knew Elmo was popular but I don’t think I ever really got it until W was born. When I was home on maternity leave I would put Sesame Street on from time to time while W and I were relaxing together. Very early on, he noticed Elmo and it didn’t take long for him to become a fan! Although he has other favorites now too, Elmo definitely brings a huge smile to his face whenever we see him. It can be on television, on a towel, or even the Elmo Easter Eggs we found this year!
We recently had the opportunity to watch one of the newest Elmo DVDs, Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun. I was excited to have the opportunity to review this particular DVD because we don’t have any Sesame Street DVDs in W’s DVD collection and it is a show I definitely feel comfortable letting him watch.
The DVD includes 3 Full-Length Sesame Street Stories Plus the Full-Length Bonus DVD “Monster Hits”! The stories include a focus on math and science including measurement and butterflies. All three episodes introduce children to great vocabulary words such as fascinating, metamorphosis, ingredient and measure.
Children learn while having fun with the Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun DVD!
I expected W to enjoy the Big Elmo Fun DVD but you never know with kids! He can love something one day and want nothing to do with it the next day! This time I was definitely in luck!
W enjoyed the Sesame Street: Big Elmo Fun DVD. He is still an Elmo fan and he loves anything with music because he loves to dance! We didn’t watch the DVD in one sitting because it is long, but I prefer a DVD with a few episodes because I can leave it in the DVD player and use it for a few days without having to change out the DVD!
