Celebrating Halloween at Disney World is part of an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Panasonic. I received product samples as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. #4KPhoto #4KFun
Over the past few months, you’ve seen some glimpses into our daily lives that I’ve captured with our Panasonic LUMIX G7 including the first day of school, visiting our state capitol, and having fun together this summer! It’s been an amazing few months and when we decided we were headed for Halloween at Disney World, I know our our LUMIX would be coming with us!
I’ll be completely honest. I took over 500 photos over the week that we were at Disney World. I’ll be sharing more over the next few weeks but I wanted to show you that Halloween at Disney World is a blast, even if you’re with young kids! It’s all about the memory making!
Celebrating Halloween at Disney World and Making Memories
The kids have both been to Disney World before (we actually went for our big family vacation earlier this year) but when the opportunity came to visit Orlando again, we took it! Grambo and I set out on an adventure that was not for the weak!
We headed to Disney World for a week with the two kids. Justin had to work so we left him behind. Although, he was amazing and dropped us off at the airport at 4:45am on the day we departed! Now that’s love, right?
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
While I loved all of the gorgeous fall and Halloween decorations all over the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was what Weston was looking forward too.
But check out the decorations! Aren’t they gorgeous?
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year and seeing one of my places in the world to visit all decked out in fall colors made me fall in love all over again. I’m not sure the kids noticed as much as I did. Weston was on a hunt for Mickey and his party even though I explained that it didn’t start until it got dark.
While we explored the park during the day, our LUMIX was by my side with its three exclusive 4K Ultra HD Video pause and extract 4K Photo Modes (4K Pre-Burst, 4K Start/Stop, and 4K). I was able to get video and pull a photos from it as well so we had tons of great memories to share with Justin when we got home.
Plus I love how lightweight the camera is! I got DSLM (M= Mirrorless) quality without the bulk and weight of traditional DSLRs which is great when you’re on your feet doing Disney all day (and sometimes all night) long!
After a morning at the Magic Kingdom, we went back to our hotel to get ready for your big night. I’m not sure who was more excited — Grambo or the kids! Weston was thrilled to put on his DIY Peter Pan costume that Grambo made him! It was super easy to make and kept him comfortable all night long!
Carrigan had a DIY Tinkerball costume as well. Even though she refused to wear any wings (and to even get out of the stroller) everyone knew who she was. I loved the simplicity of the costumes and that the kids were comfortable all night long!
Being at Disney World with the kids seemed like they were always on the move. So some of my favorite features of the LUMIX became absolute must haves for catching shots of the kids as we headed out to the big Halloween party!
My favorite features include:
- DFD focusing for fast and precise auto focusing (which is great when you’re trying to capture great shots of the kids!)
- Class-leading lens and accessory options.
- 4K mode which is essential if you have kids that are always on the move!
I love being able to take 4K Ultra HD Video (at up to 30 frames-per-second) and then extracting an 8-megapixel still image! It helps me get a bit of both which makes sharing our Halloween at Disney World memories even more fun. You can also share your photos with the built-in Wi-Fi and the Panasonic Image app while you’re on the go!
And if you’re looking for a fun way to celebrate Halloween, think about celebrating Halloween at Disney World one year! Memories will be made!
