Disney’s Frozen Director
Ahhhhh! Yes, that is me running around screaming with excitement. Why? Because of Disney’s Frozen which is scheduled for Thanksgiving 2013. I don’t know if I can wait that long! If you’re thinking I don’t know anything about the 53rd full-length animated feature from Disney, you’re wrong! I have reason to be excited already! And now we know a bit more about Disney’s Frozen director!
When I was in Los Angeles for the #DisneyMoviesEvent in September, I got to see a few planning boards for Frozen and learn a bit about the film. When we were told that it would star Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell I was ready to buy my tickets. Of course, they weren’t available yet.
I am a musical theater girl, so I have been an Idina Menzel fan since I was lucky enough to see the original Broadway cast of RENT. As for Kristen Bell, I have a slight addiction to Veronica Mars and still mourn the loss of one of my favorite TV shows. So, yes based on that alone, I will be in the theaters for Frozen.
Meet Frozen Director Jennifer Lee
Jennifer Lee, one of the screenplay writers of this year’s hit arcade-hopping adventure “Wreck-It Ralph,” will join Chris Buck in the direction of Frozen. Lee creates dynamic and relatable characters. Producer Peter Del Vecho feels that her sense of comedy, adventure and story structure will pair the Buck’s experience and instincts to create a perfect match for the film.
All I know is that I cannot wait to enter the Frozen world of sisters Anna and Elsa as Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. The spell that is keeping the kingdom in eternal winter! Baby, it’s cold outside!
Are you excited to see Frozen next year?
