Dogs On Deployment is a sponsored post by Purina. All opinions are 100% my own.
The best part of my day is when Grambo comes home from the office. I can hardly wait to jump up and give her a doggie hug. It’s like she’s been gone for days. Imagine if she had to leave me for a longer period of time. I would be so sad and lonely.
This separation happens to some of my canine buddies when their best friends are deployed for military service. Purina, my favorite food, wants to help my buddies by working with the Dogs On Deployment program. Yip, yip, hurray!
Dogs On Deployment
Dogs On Deployment is a non-profit organization that is raising awareness of the need to foster and care for the pets of our military while these men and women are away taking care of our country’s safety. This important program was founded in 2011 and is based on the following principles:
- LOVE – soldiers and military personnel will have peace of mind that their furry babies are well loved and cared for while they are gone
- FUND – over $90,000 in grants are available during deployment, financial hardship and emergencies
- BOARD – the program provides links to a large network of foster homes and volunteers who are willing to board military pets
And it’s not just for pups like me. It’s for all pets that need a temporary home, even cats and fish. No one is left out and that makes me feel so warm and fuzzy.
Dogs On Deployment promotes life-time, responsible pet ownership for all our service men and women.
Purina is offering everyone an opportunity to help Dogs On Deployment. Just visit PureLoveForPets and answer the trivia questions. It’s fun and it will generate a donation by Purina of 25 cents for each answer you get right, up to $40,000! I took the Trivia Quiz and got all the questions right. Of course, Grambo helped me. We are best friends after all. And she can read and I can’t!
I salute Purina and Dogs On Deployment.
