Easy Graduation Celebration Ideas to Make It Personal
Graduation is a huge accomplishment— whether it’s high school or college (or even kindergarten)! I can still remember graduating with my Master’s Degree a few years ago. My whole family came to celebrate, and I have memories that I’ll carry with me forever! I’m excited to have the chance to see my little brother, Robbie, get his high school diploma in a few months! Yes, I’m taking the kids, and we’re going to party with our North Carolina family!
Graduation celebration ideas don’t have to be elaborate or cost a lot of money to be amazing. My experience (I’ve graduated three times!) has taught me that to make it special, you have to make it personal! Here are a few easy ways to do that!
Make the Announcement
One of the most exciting things about graduating is sharing the news with the world! Even if they already know it’s coming, it’s still fun to make it official. There are many options when it comes to announcements, but having the chance to make it personal is one of the best things about Shutterfly Cards and Stationary for Grads, and the wide variety of choices available from Shutterfly means there’s something for everyone! Robbie picked his own design and I loved that we could order coordinating items to go along with them!
Invite Your VIPs
Whether you’re inviting people to the actual ceremony or a gathering afterwards, Shutterfly has you covered. We personalized one of the invitations in the Regal Grad collection to see what it looked like and it is gorgeous! You can easily personalize the text on the invitation to make it fit, no matter how much you want to say.
You can edit the announcement to invite guests to the graduation ceremony or use them for party invitations. It was so easy to edit and I find that I can always get a good deal at Shutterfly. What’s not to like?
Then throw your party! Whether it’s a celebratory dinner or a big shindig, plan a celebration that fits the grad and the budget. There’s no reason to spend a bunch of money on a huge party if your graduate would prefer to have some friends over for a BBQ.
Make it personal because that’s what makes it memorable. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box, either! Go bowling with family and friends if that’s the best way for your grad to celebrate!
You can even have you party decor match the theme of your invitations and announcements of you’re looking for an easy way to make it all coordinate!
Once the celebrating is over, it’s time to be thankful. Many people give graduation gifts so it’s important for your grad to say thank you. Sometimes it’s a detail that’s forgotten in the craziness and preparations for whatever comes next, but Shutterfly allows you to personalize thank you cards for your grad so all you have to do is remind him to send them!
And once you’ve got everything personalized for your graduate, don’t forget your own special gift for him or her! You can do that at Shutterfly, too, with Shutterfly Gifts for Grads. Talk about easy! I’m looking forward to letting Weston and Carrigan help me pick out a graduation gift for their Uncle Robbie! It’s bound to be pretty personal!
