I was invited to be a brand representative for Ragú® and have been compensated for this Easy Lasagna Dip post for SocialStars. All opinions are my own.
Whether it’s game day or a little family gathering, I love being able to offer my guests something tasty to snack on. But of course I also like it to be easy to make! I’ve said that again and again. This busy mom doesn’t like to slave away in the kitchen. So when I was thinking of new things to make for Football Sunday this week, I knew I wanted a dip but I wanted a change from our usual 7 Layer Dip. Then it hit me! We had all the ingredients in the pantry for lasagna so why not try an Easy Lasagna Dip?
Easy Lasagna Dip
I was inspired by a challenge from Ragú® to mash up two of their recipes as inspiration for a dish of my own. Also known as my new Tra-Dish! So I knew I wanted to make lasagna so Ragú® No Boiling Lasagna and then I thought Olive Lover’s Pasta sounded delicious. It was easy to mash these two recipes together to create a new dish. Just leave out the noodles from the lasagna and it quickly turned into an easy to make dip that will be great for game day or any other time we entertain!
Ragú® sauces have a delicious taste the whole family will loves so all I had to do was decide which variety would work well in our dip. I thought that mushrooms would pair well with the olives so I went with Ragú® Mushroom. The variety of great tasting Ragú® sauces make it quick and easy to put together family favorite recipes. And we have a new favorite after this new kitchen challenge!
What you need:
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup Ragú® Mushroom sauce
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup assorted pitted olices, diced
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
What you do:
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with 2 cups mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese.
- Spread cheese mixture in bottom of baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine pasta sauce, olives, garlic powder, and salt.
- Spread the sauce evenly over the cheese layer in your baking dish.
- Top with 1 cup of mozzarella.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted and golden.
You can serve the lasagna dip with bread sticks or a crunchy bread. Anything that will dip well! We found some garlic bread sticks that you bake up in the oven and they added a delicious extra bit of flavor to the dip! At one of our local grocery stores they have the little round pieces of bread that are super crunchy.
I think they would be amazing with this lasagna dip. I also found a recipe that will teach me how to turn cooked lasagna noodles into chips! It sounded pretty easy and I might give it a go the next time I make this!
So our new TraDish was a huge hit here! Even W had some fun dipping his breadsticks! It was a fun way to enjoy some of our favorite Italian flavors!
