If there is one thing that toddlers know a lot about, it’s movement! Carrigan seems to find joy in some of the most simple of movements in her life. Rolling on the floor is a new favorite. Of course, climbing and trying to stand on the kitchen table is another one! Being a parent never has down time when you’re in the toddler stage and keeping them busy seems to be one of the best approaches. Easy toddler games are one way I keep Carrigan busy so she doesn’t find her own ways to have some fun!
Easy Toddler Games to Keep Them Busy
While I love planning special activities to do with the kids, we have some basic things that I depend on to keep both Carrigan and Weston happy! Easy toddler games can actually keep both kids pretty busy most of the time! That active baby stage is one that keeps me on my toes on a parent, but I’m figuring out some ways to keep things together around here!
Blocks are one of the staples in our house. There are just so many things you can do with them and kids of all ages have fun playing with them. We love to build towers with them. But recently we’ve also added them to our water table for extra fun outside! Oh, and we’ve used them to create obstacle courses in the living room. And I don’t just mean the obstacle course that I have to traverse when the kids have blocks everywhere!
Follow the Leader
Going outside is one of the best ways to survive the active baby stage! Take your toddler outdoors and they’re sure to find something to keep themselves busy. Plus their are a lot of fun games you can play with kids of all ages. My kids currently love playing follow the leader. It’s one of the best easy toddler games if you have more than one child. We also love to get out the sidewalk chalk and draw lines so we can follow paths. We also draw targets and toss rocks into them or sort different things from nature! So many fun things to do!
Pillows have proven to be another favorite thing to play with in our house. From pillow forts to jumping on a big pillow from the couch, a lot of the easy toddler games we make up seem to involve pillows these days. I decided not to fight the kids on playing with the cushions from the couch and instead help put together some fun and safe ways to play on them. You can stack pillows and even build tunnels for plenty of action for your little one!
Huggies Little Movers
Of course, while we’re celebrating being busy and active, I also have to make sure that Carrigan is dry and protected! The last thing we need is to be outside dealing with diaper leaks! Huggies Little Movers are working great for us these days!
New Huggies Little Movers Diapers have a Moving Baby System for outstanding grip, fit, and wetness protection which absorbs on contact. That means that babies get the most out of every little move as they begin to kick, roll, crawl and walk. When you hit the toddler stage this becomes even more important! I feel like Carrigan never stops moving!
Huggies Little Movers Moving Baby System includes these great features:
- A DryTouch Liner that absorbs on contact
- Double Grip Strips for comfortable movement and a comfy fit that lasts
- Contoured Shape for freedom of movement
That makes them great for busy days and even for those rare moments of downtime!
