Fitness Challenge Success
Last month, I started the #iHeartOmron 30 day fitness challenge to see what kind of difference I could make in my life and my body. I actually started working on getting back to better habits the day I applied for the challenge. It was a great motivation for me and I was thrilled to be chosen as one of the Fitness Challenge Ambassadors!
Since applying for the challenge, I lost 15.6 pounds! I also lost inches in all areas on my body! No complaints from me on that one! I cannot wait to share my total weight loss at the #iHeartOmron Twitter party.

Omron Strapless Continuous Heart Rate Monitor
During the 30 day Fitness Challenge, I have been monitoring my success using some great gadgets from Omron Fitness. I love a good gadget so it has been fun and extremely motivating. I shared the story of how my pedometer motivates me. And I’ve loved weighing in on the Omron scale and learning about my body composition as well as my weight.
My newest gadget is the Omron Strapless Continuous Heart Rate Monitor. I’ve never had a heart rate monitor but always wanted one. So I was excited to try this one out. I knew a lot about different heart rate zones from my experience working out with a personal trainer when I was losing weight the first time. But I never had a monitor so I never put the knowledge to use.
There were a number of features I loved about the Omron heart rate monitor, including:
- No chest strap! (This is the feature that first caught my eye!)
- Tracking of pace and distance during walks and runs. (I walk a ton and love knowing the distance on my routes.)
- Tracks calories burned during workouts.
- The monitor also features a clock so I don’t have to put on a watch or carry my phone with me!
So, I have another gadget that is now helping get me motivated. I haven’t had a ton of time to play with it, but so far it’s fun. It’s also helping me gain a better understanding of the type of workout I’m getting based on my heart rate. And I love learning new things that will help me be successful!
Tell me about a recent health or fitness success you experienced!
