Disney provided me with a trip to Los Angeles to cover the Monsters University event and film. Most expenses were paid however all thoughts and experiences are my own.
This week this mom and teacher went back to her college days with a little tailgating with the stars of Monsters University. Truth is that it was only my second tailgaiting experience! And it was completely different from the first time I did it at a Texas A&M football game back when J and I first started dating.
Yes, I went to a football game for J. Guess I thought there was something about him because I’m not a football fan. But back to the night the monsters took over Hollywood to party before the big
game premiere. And I was at the premiere party!
How to Tailgate Like Monsters University
1. Find a Great Location!
Location is everything whether you’re out supporting your favorite NFL team, your alma mater, or the next great Disney movie! Tailgating on Hollywood Blvd in front of El Capitan theater was the perfect location for the Monster’s University. Just remember to stake out your claim with lawn chairs, your grill, or your blue carpet!
2. Invite Your Friends!
Check out who was spotted at the Monsters University world premiere party!
Don’t forget that the best parties are the ones with your friends and family! So be sure to invite all your friends out to party with you! Turn the pre-game excitement into great memories with your favorite people!
3. Enjoy Some Great Food!
The key to any great tailgate is great friends and great food! Be sure to have plenty of food on hand to feed all of your friends. Oh, and don’t forget variety! A great party has a little bit of everything so that no one feels left out! At the Monsters University premiere we enjoyed everything from Subway and savory bites from Wolfgang Puck’s to cotton candy, mini cupcakes, and delicious cinnamon sugar pretzels from Auntie Anne’s!
I think all of the tailgaters found something to fill their stomachs (even the monsters with more than one stomach)!
4. Show Your Team Spirit!
Last but not least, don’t forget to don your team colors and show some spirit! Whether you’re rocking the blue and white of Monsters University or your Oozma Kappa green and yellow, show your love! We all donned blue and white for the premiere and I even got my first tattoo! Now it was just a temporary tattoo but I was still showing my support for Oozma Kappa!
From marching bands to the Monsters U pep squad, this tailgating party had everything to get us all amped up!
