Kitchen Clutter Solutions
While I love our house, I definitely didn’t get the kitchen of my dreams when we bought it. The kitchen is on the smaller side and has very limited counter space. That means I’m all about finding creative kitchen storage solutions that can help keep my counters just a bit less cluttered.
My biggest no-nonsense tip for handling things like kitchen clutter is to break it down into smaller steps. Focus on one area and find kitchen clutter solutions for one issue at a time.
If you break it down and just tackle one or two areas a week, you’ll wow your family with your kitchen decluttering solutions in no time!
Here’s an easy one to start with that will instantly clear up counter space!
Clear Kitchen Cup Clutter
As Weston has gotten older, we’ve tried to encourage him to be more independent. One of the things he’s learned to do is get some of his own drinks when he’s thirsty.
What I didn’t realize is that it would turn my kitchen counters into a cup and water bottle collection center! Now, instead of having to get him a drink, I find myself constantly organizing the cups on the counter.
Then one of the easiest kitchen clutter solutions ever hit me! All I needed was a magnet and some glue that could go through the dishwasher!
What You Need for this Easy Kitchen Clutter Solution
- Dishwasher safe plastic cups
- Gorilla Glue or another waterproof glue
- Button magnets
How to Clear the Kitchen Counter Cup Clutter
- Place a drop of Gorilla Glue on one magnet.
- Press against side of cup for a minute.
- Set out of reach and allow to dry for 24 hours.
- Repeat for as many cups as you’d like to get up off the counter!
Once all of your magnets are secure on the cups, you can store them on anything magnetic! The front of the refrigerator is a great place. The front of ours isn’t magnetic so we use a small space on the side.
Carrigan discovered that our message board in the kitchen is magnetic so she likes to keep her cup there too!
I’m good with almost any place they want to stick their cup because it means I’ve claimed some counter space back!
