School has started for many kids so it’s all about making back to school lunches easier. This post is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Save-A-Lot. The opinions and text are all mine.
So check out a few ways we’re making lunch prep a bit easier!
Making Back to School Lunches Easier
If you have a picky eater on your hands, making school lunches easier can be challenging! It’s all about learning what your kids like and figuring out which grocery store has what you need! Around here, different stores have different things that my kids like to eat for lunch! So we end up changing it up a bit depending on where we shop.
It’s really just about finding options that are easy and that you can balance out. Things are even easier because Save-A-Lot has great lunchbox ideas for Back to School and great prices! There are Save-A-Lot locations across the United States and we were thrilled to have our contributor check out a location in Pennsylvania! She found some great deals on everything we needed to make back to school lunches easier! You can save up to 40% and who doesn’t like the sound of that?
Stick with the Basics
When it comes to making lunches easy, stick to the basics. There is no need to get all crazy fancy. It’s about foods you know your kids like and will eat.
So what are some of the basics that my kids like that make back to school lunches easier?
- Peanut butter sandwiches (It’s easy and I know Weston will eat them! It’s all about finding what your child likes and will eat that works for you as a parent.)
- Baby carrots with dip
- Applesauce pouches
- Juice box
- Fruit snacks
- Sandwich crackers
- Sometimes a treat!
Roll with Convenience
I know that sometimes it costs a little more to pick up the convenient smaller packages but when it comes to making back to school lunches easier, convenience can really count for something.
If you don’t buy things pre-packaged, then get the kids involved. On the weekend, take things like your crackers and put them into small bags so you have enough for the week. The kids can help.
If you organize your pantry area with everything for lunches, the kids can even help make their own lunch the night before!
Don’t be afraid of convenience! Yes, we all might dream of gorgeous, internet-worthy lunches. But our kids just want food they like so make it easy!
