Mega Bloks Lil’ Vehicles
There are a few things that W loves right now. Cars and trucks, balls, blocks, and Pocoyo. We have Mega Blocks everywhere and I’m always stepping on one car or another. So when we got the opportunity to try out a few vehicles from the Mega Bloks Lil’ Vehicles First Builders collection, I knew they would be a great fit.
I also put on some shoes because I knew we would have blocks everywhere. Somehow W never seems to step on them but I do. And if you’ve stepped on one before, you know my pain! Oh, the life of a mother.
Sonny School Bus & Dylan Dump Truck
When the Mega Bloks vehicles arrived, I loved the bright, primary colors. Each vehicle had a friendly figure driving and W was thrilled to discover that the drivers could be removed. The dump truck included 6 blocks and the school bus included 6 blocks as well. The blocks are compatible with all Mega Bloks 1+ products. So they were a great addition to the Mega Bloks we already own.
W loved the size of both vehicles from the moment I got them out of the packaging. He is a fan of opening things and putting other things inside. So Sonny School Bus was great for him because the roof opened to store blocks. He also discovered that you can fill the school bus with other cars! The same is true for Dylan Dump Truck. W had collected all sorts of small toys and enjoyed driving them around in the back of the dump truck!
W plays with the Mega Bloks Lil’ Vehicles at least once a day if not more! I like them because they seem to be just the right size for him. He has a lot of smaller cars and trucks but not many that are on the larger side. I’ve found that is more challenging to find vehicles that are bigger and appropriate for younger children. The First Builders vehicles are designed for ages 1 to 4 so they are perfect for W.
I also like that they have a minimal amount of stickers on them. I’ve learned that the first thing that happens with new toys with a lot of decals and stickers is… W manages to pick (or lick/chew/who knows) them right off! Within a day, a new toy can look beat up. But that has not happened with these Lil’ Vehicles. Even after a few weeks of play they are in great shape! They are easy to clean and have proven to be durable so far!
