Mother’s Day is a special day to me because I am going through my experience as a mom with my mom by my side. Sharing a home with my mom makes it a day that is extra special for me. It’s a day for us to really celebrate our family. When it comes to Mother’s Day gift ideas, I often find myself buying Grambo quite a few things at some of our favorite stores. If it’s pretty or sentimental, I want to get it.
But this year I wanted to come up with something more unique. I wanted to give her a gift that would help us all create and capture new memories together. So I came up with five gift ideas that would be special for moms while also being great for the family. Check them out to see exactly what I’m talking about!
Mothers Day Gift Ideas to Capture Memories
Artwork is one of my absolute favorite gifts when it comes to more sentimental occasions like Mother’s Day. I think that artwork that includes things like children’s handprints or photos are especially sweet because they capture a glimpse of the child at that point in time. The artwork can be a great way to remember when the kids were young. Plus they make sweet decorations for the special day!
2. Scrapbook or photo book
Staying on the theme of capturing those moments of time, a scrapbook is a great gift idea. Or if you’re like me and have the desire to scrapbook but can never quite get started, a photo book online is just as precious from my experience. Photos of mom and the kids together is a great way to capture the memories of each year as the family gets older.
Grambo is a huge fan of journals and I have quite a few myself. I love the idea of giving a journal as a Mother’s Day gift as a place for mom to record her thoughts about life or her special memories. She could even record her wisdom to share with the family or with her children when they’re older. Grambo has a thought a day journal she uses each day to record little things that happen in our lives. I love looking back over it because sometimes we’ve already forgotten some little moments that were so precious to us!
4. Potted Plant or Garden Plant
Grambo is also the inspiration for this gift idea. She loves working in the yard and making it beautiful for the entire family to enjoy. She and W have spent many hours together outside working with the plants. Those memories are ones I’m sure they will both cherish as the years go by. And if you purchase a plant that will grow for many years, it will leave a legacy as it grows and thrives.
5. Meal for Mom
Meal times are some of the best times together as a family. And I know many moms spend a lot of time making meals for their family. So getting her out of the kitchen and out to enjoy the meal without any responsibilities is a wonderful way to give her the gift of time to make more memories with the family.
HoneyBaked Ham offers the signature HoneyBaked Ham and Smoked or Roasted Turkey Breasts. Both are fully cooked and ready to serve. They also offer a wide variety of side dishes so you can get a complete family meal with minimal effort! If you’re looking for an easy meal idea for a Mother’s Day gift, they offer a great selection from delicious ham dinners and brunch to fruit baskets and dessert!
Not every gift has to come straight from the store. Sometimes the gifts that focus on time together and capturing memories are the best Mother’s Day gift ideas!
