Munchkin Diaper Pail
It’s time for me to make another confession. Until recently I never had a diaper pail. W spent most of his first 8 months in cloth diapers and I used a wet bag. Then when moved to disposables because he grew so quickly his cloth diapers couldn’t handle him, I just used a trash can.
I did not know the wonders of a diaper pail until we had the opportunity to try the Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail from Munchkin. I am a huge fan of Munchkin products and a huge fan of Arm & Hammer. So logically I was excited to see the two brands partnering together.
Diaper time can get a bit stinky around here. I’ll admit it. W’s diapers don’t smell like roses despite how perfect I think he is!
Easy to Use
If I’m going to be sticking a dirty diaper in a pail, it has to be easy to use. Diaper changing time is no time for messing around. I need ease and practicality. I like easy. I get frustrated easily! I was glad to see that the Munchkin diaper pail was almost completely assembled for me when I took it out of the box.
The bag was already in place so I didn’t have to worry about that. The bag holds up to 25 diapers so I knew I wouldn’t have to change it for a while. But when that time finally came, I was prepared for the worst. To my surprise, it was one of the easiest things I’ve dealt with when it comes to baby gear.
Remember, I like easy.
When it was full, all I had to do was lift the blue ring at the top of the bag out of the white diaper pail. Then I snapped the two sides of the ring together and removed it from the pail. Off to the trash I went! Yes, it was that easy!
One warning… don’t let anyone throw a diaper in before you’ve put in a new bag. I know that seems obvious but I only mention it because it happened here!
Arm & Hammer™ Freshness
There is a reason I have never used a diaper pail before. I have a fear of smells festering and overwhelming when I open the pail. I was a scared mama. Just thinking about it makes me cringe. I didn’t want to have to face horrible smells and my gag reflex.
With other pails, I knew I could buy all sorts of extra parts to deodorize and keep things smelling better. But I wasn’t convinced. I like easy, remember?
That is why I love the Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail from Munchkin. No extra parts to keep track of (because I would definitely misplace them) and a brand I trust when it comes to cleaning and freshness. The Arm & Hammer baking soda cartridge was the only part I had to install in the diaper pail before we used it. It was easy to do and I loved the way it was designed to sit in the pail.
When the lid is closed on the diaper pail, the system self-seals the bag. This locks those scary stinky smells in so I don’t have to worry. The Arm & Hammer cartridge absorbs the odors and releases baking soda each time the lid is closed. In recent months, I have learned just how powerful baking soda can be so I love that it is built right into the diaper pail!
So far, we have had a great experience with the Munchkin Diaper Pail. I haven’t had to deal with horrible smells and it is making my life just a bit easier. While my house may not be the cleanest on the block, I’m all about it smelling fresh and clean. The Arm & Hammer™ Diaper Pail from Munchkin is definitely helping me do that!
Now if I could find a diaper pail that will also mop the floor…
