This post is part of a sponsored campaign for P. King Duckling. I received compensation for my participation, but my review and opinions are my own. We’ve been enjoying P. King Duckling on Disney Junior for awhile now and there are a few reasons why!
P. King Duckling on Disney Junior
We’re huge fans of Disney Junior shows in our house. Whenever a new show is announced, we’re usually counting down the days to the first episode. And adding it to our DVR in case it ends up being a new favorite!
This is exactly how we discovered P. King Duckling!
If you haven’t watched the show before (it airs weekdays at 8:05 am on Disney Junior), it stars a slightly hapless duck named P. King. Makes sense, right?
Together with his best friends, Wombat and Chumpkins, adventures ensue that are full of challenges along the way. So why are we fans of P. King Duckling on Disney Junior?
It’s an entertaining show that also teaches some amazing lessons for kids! What parent wouldn’t be a fan?
One of the core values of the show is challenging yourself. It’s about encouraging kids to try new things and not to give up.
“Seize the Day!”
P. King Duckling faces challenges during his adventures with his friends. But they always come up with creative ways to overcome them. He helps kids change the way they think about problems and challenges they may face.
As I mentioned, when it comes to challenges, P. King Duckling and his friends always come up with creative ways to overcome whatever they’re facing.
We’ve watched an episode where P. King Duckling wanted to build a robot to help do his chores.
My kids loved the amusement park episode when the friends decided to help fix the broken rides. I liked that they planned to ask others to help them. Teamwork is something I’m always working on teaching my kids so I welcome any help I can get!
“Seize the Day!”
Personally, I’m pretty much a glass half full type of person. Justin says I’m the eternal optimist and when I’m done, the family notices. Optimism is just one of the things I think makes life better.
P. King Duckling encourages kids to look at the setbacks and challenges in a positive light. He doesn’t let things stop him and continues on his adventures, no matter what the challenges happen to be!
Daring to Dream
P. King is a duck with a dream. He actually has tons of dreams! His dreams seem to change all the time!
One day he wants to be a scientist or an architect and the next he might be a mountain climber or even own his own pizzeria!
I love that the episodes all encourage my kids to have dreams and to keep on dreaming!
The show encourages kids to “see for yourself.” It motivates kids to journey near and far.
“Next stop, the moon!”
One of my favorite things as a parent is that the show also teaches kids to be themselves.
Express yourself is one of the core values of the show. It empowers children to express themselves creatively. The focus is on having fun and being yourself.
P. King encourages kids to keep on imagining and doing!
You can watch P. King Duckling on Disney Junior every weekday morning at 8:05 am. It was perfect during the school year before we got Carrigan off to preschool in the mornings.
But the great thing about P. King Duckling on Disney Junior is that if you miss the morning’s episode on the Disney Junior channel, we can watch available episodes online at Disney Junior. (We love it because we can still watch, even when we’re traveling!)
