Review: MotherKnows

One thing I wasn’t prepared to keep track of was W’s medical history. I will be honest and say that I let my doctor be the one with all of my records. But when it came to my baby, I’ve wanted to keep all of the information from each of his early appointments. I started a file in our filing cabinet and that is where I put everything for now. It keeps things organized to some degree. Recently, I had the opportunity to try a new service MotherKnows, an easy way to store your child’s medical records online and have them at your fingertips!

MotherKnowsMotherKnows not only allows you to keep track of your child’s medical records, you can also track appointments, growth, milestones, and track immunization records all in one secure location!

It was extremely easy to get started with once I took the plunge! I was easily registered within a few minutes and quickly had access to the dashboard where everything about my account is organized. Within a day, I received a release that I had to e-sign so W’s medical records could be shared with MotherKnows. The e-signature process also proved to be a very easy process. I am still waiting for W’s records to be released but that is on the end of his doctor’s office and not MotherKnows. It can take up to 2 weeks for the records to be updated. It’s all about security and privacy so I am okay with that! In the meantime I was able to explore the website and there are some amazing features!
Some of my favorite features include the ability to compare W’s weight and length with the percentile charts. I am always interested to see where he falls (always near the top or off the charts) but I don’t always want to dig out the paper copies we brought home from the pediatrician. I also like the immunization chart that allows me to see what W has, what he needs, and the recommended timing for all of it. These are some great resources and I love that they are so easily accessible using MotherKnows! offers a variety of different membership plans from free to premium so you can find one that works for you. I’m a big fan of using technology and the web to get more organized and I definitely recommend that you try out MotherKnows and see how you like it.

To celebrate the launch of this great new service, the first 500 people to sign up will get a Free Child ID Kit when you signup through the Formula Mom link and enter this code: MK3 (you MUST use that link and enter that code).
