As I’ve mentioned before, our dogs are definitely members of the family! When holiday time rolls around, they always get one or two gifts. A new bone or some new toys makes for a happy pup on Christmas Day! As part of my 25 Crazy Dayz of Giveawayz prize pack, I had the opportunity to review the Neater Feeder and I have come to the conclusion that it would be a great holiday gift for the pets that also helps out the rest of the family by keeping the water and food mess contained!
Neater Feeder is the only mess proof pet feeder. It is designed with protective walls that contain splashes and spills caused by an excited pet or a busy baby. The Neater Feeder system holds spilled food in an upper reservoir while spilled water flows down a gentle slope through a patent-pending filtering system.
The water flows into the lower reservoir that can safely contain more than an entire bowl of spilled water, keeping it off the floor until you are ready to dispose of it. Keeping the spilled food in the upper reservoir, off the floor, not only saves you work, but also keeps it clean for reuse.
The Neater Feeder comes in four sizes — small, medium, and large as well as a cat feeder so there is something for every family and every pet! They are available in two colors — bronze and cranberry. You can also purchase extension legs to raise them up off the ground a bit more without sizing up to the next size.
We received the medium Neater Feeder in cranberry to use with our rat terrier and boston terrier. The medium Neater Feeder is designed for dogs weighing 15 – 40 pounds with a 12″ – 16″ shoulder height so it was the perfect size for our two dogs.
Murray, our boston terrier, wasn’t sure about the Neater Feeder at first. He is definitely a creature of habit so it took him a little while before he would try to take a drink but eventually he did! As you can see in the photo, the Neater Feeder (without the leg extensions on) is the perfect height for him. I also like design of the feeder because the shape in the front goes low enough that the tags on his collar do no hit the plastic. Murray will not eat or drink if his tags hit the bowl. It scares him! That has not been a problem with the Neater Feeder!
Although W is still intrigued by the water bowls and thinks it’s fun to stand up using the Neater Feeder, I do like that the feeder has helped keep the floor around the water bowls much more dry than before! If you’re looking to reduce pet spills, I would recommend trying the Neater Feeder!
Buy it! You can purchase the Neater Feeder on the Neater Feeder website. Depending on the size you need, they range in price from $36.15 to $65.98. They also offer low-cost shipping. You can learn even more about Neater Feeder on Twitter and Facebook!
