To say that I’m a little excited about The BFG Movie is a bit of an understatement. While my kids might not be quite old enough to enjoy it with me, it looks like it’s a great film for sharing some family memories with older kids! Were you a fan of Roald Dahl’s The BFG when you were growing up?
Share Family Memories with The BFG Movie
Back in 1982, many years before I would ever read it, Roald Dahl wrote a little book called The BFG. It became one of the books I remember so vividly from my childhood. It was the favorite read aloud book of my 4th grade class. I’d just moved back to Colorado from Ohio so it was a time of big change for me. But I remember sitting at my desk, just getting lost in the tale of The Big Friendly Giant.
So many memories! And now the book is coming to life on the big screen with Disney’s The BFG movie!
The movie hits theaters on July 1st so it’s a great thing to do with your kids this summer! And right now you have time to start enjoying the book together too!
