If you’ve been around Formula Mom long enough, you know that I am a huge fan of Tommee Tippee products. We used the Closer to Nature bottles when we were struggling with breastfeeding and having to supplement a great deal. Most recently, I discovered a line of Tommee Tippee sippy cups that were truly spill-proof for us! So I was thrilled to try some of the other sippy cups that Tommee Tippee offers. W has started chewing some on the cups with softer spouts so I was very interested in the cups with harder spouts.
When our cups arrived I was thrilled to by the colors and the prints. I love that the designs featured colors other than red and blue for boys. I also loved that the prints did not feature cars or sports! Dinosaurs and space is a wonderful change of pace from the usual boy themes.
It took a few tries for W to finally get the hang of the new drinking cups. Most of his cups have a more prominent spout but once he figured it out, we were good to go! The Tommee Tippee Explora Drinking cups feature an insulated design to keep drinks cold! We do not have any other sippy cups with this feature and it will be great for the hot Texas summer weather!
I have been on the hunt for sippy cups that don’t leak when W turns them upside down and I have only found a few. Tommee Tippee has proven to stand up to this test and I was happy to discover that all of the Tommee Tippee sippy cup designs are spill-proof. W loves to shake bottles and cups and then paint in the liquid on the floor, so these cups save me a lot of cleaning!
I also like that the drinking cup features a design to help W develop an open-cup drinking action that will help him transition to regular cups. He loves trying to drink from our cups but he doesn’t quite have the mouth right so his shirt always gets wet. I can see the difference in his mouth position and shape when he uses these cups instead of the cups with a more prominent spout that he sucks on.
Tommee Tippee Sippy Cups come to the rescue again!
I have been trying to have him use these cups at least once a day. During the summer, I am going to try to get rid of all of our bottles so it will be great to have a variety of cup types available for different times of day. I would like to begin using these Tommee Tippee Explora cups during meal time to help him practice for making the transition to a regular cup.
The Tommee Tippee Explora line is now available at Target which just happens to be one of my favorite stores! The cups are similarly priced to other cups but the best part is that they are truly spill-proof. I have put them through the shake and toss test and they always come through without a leak! That makes them worth any price for me as a mom! The time I save by not having to clean up drink that is all over the floor is time I can spend with my amazing little boy!
Have you used Tommee Tippee Explora cups? What is your favorite feature or which feature appeals to you the most?
