This year I have the travel itch. It comes and goes. I’ve been to Orlando, Boulder, and San Francisco this year already. I have plans for visit Dallas and Atlanta before the year is over. And I have been adding dream trips to my travel bucket list.
Do you have a travel bucket list? You know, all the places you dream of going one day? My list includes Norway, England, and my latest addition — Puerto Rico!
Travel Bucket List Idea: Puerto Rico
I’m not sure why Puerto Rico wasn’t on my list until recently. But when I saw a commercial a few weeks ago, I immediately added it to my list of places I need to visit! I mean, it has 270 miles of coastline! How amazing is that? Puerto Rico is filled with world-class attractions that will turn any trip into a 5-star vacation story. Sign me up! When I told Justin about it, he was completely on board!
I’m already making our bucket list of things to do while we’re there!
Explore El Yunque
El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest system. It has extensive hiking trails with lush, giant foliage, unique tropical birds, and vistas of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. I’m definitely doing some hiking!
I want to go and take advantage of those 270 miles of coastline! White sand and turquoise water have always been on my bucket list. So I would definitely be spending some days on the beach. Add in surfing and miles of reefs for what sounds like the ultimate beach bum dream!
The world only has a few bioluminescent bays, three of which are in Puerto Rico. You can kayak ride over them and it will feel like you’ve set sail over the stars. It sound slike a one in a lifetime experience and I hope to do it one day. And one day soon!
Puerto Rico is just full of things to do! So many adventures to go on (including golf which Justin is excited about) while also having the chance to tour rum distilleries and try authentic Puerto Rican foods! I can’t believe this wasn’t on my list until recently!
Plus, it’s so easy to travel to Puerto Rico! No passports or foreign money is needed, so you can just get on the plane and head out on vacation!
