You’ve got to try this Easy Yogurt Parfait recipe no matter what time of day! So check out this recipe! We love it for an afternoon snack because it’s quick, easy, and tasty!
It’s great to enjoy with the kids but I’ve been known to just whip one up for myself too!
Easy Yogurt Parfait Recipe
Weston eats lunch early at school, so he’s hungry when he comes home. That means I’m always looking for quick and easy snack ideas. I want to make better choices for both the kids and myself, so instead of just pulling something out of the pantry these days, I’m trying to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into our snacks.
Plus, I love sitting down with the kids after school and sharing a snack while we talk about the day.
We all like things like smoothies which works well for me as a mom because I can pack in some nutrition without them even realizing it. But sometimes I want an easy, healthy option that packs that punch but isn’t a smoothie.
An easy yogurt parfait is perfect for these times. It’s a breeze to make because I can take advantage of the same ingredients that I use for smoothies.
Frozen fruit is one of my tricks for making life a bit easier and still making sure we have some great options on hand. Our fresh fruit sometimes runs out before grocery day. Since frozen fruits are just as good as fresh fruits, Welch’s Frozen Fruits can often be found in our freezer! We usually have at least one (if not two) of the delicious varieties!
- Welch’s 48oz Blueberry Fusion
- Welch’s 48oz Tropical Blend
- Welch’s 48oz Antioxidant Blend
We enjoy all of the flavors but Blueberry Fusion has proven to be our number one these days. It’s great in smoothies in the morning (or when the kids don’t want to eat anything I make for dinner) and it worked great in our easy yogurt parfaits!
What You Need:
- 1 cup plain (or vanilla) yogurt
- 1/2 – 1 cup Welch’s Blueberry Fusion
- 1/4 cup peanuts or other favorite nuts (you can also use granola or even dry cereal to add a bit of crunch)
What You Do:
- Spoon half of the yogurt into a cup.
- Layer half of the fruit on top.
- Add the remaining yogurt followed by the rest of the fruit.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
That’s how simple it is to throw together your own easy yogurt parfait in the afternoon! You can share with the kids or enjoy it yourself!
Welch’s Frozen Fruits are high quality and delicious! I’ve been know to just eat them straight out of the bag! With how hot it’s been here even when the calendar says it’s fall, frozen fruit has proven to be a great snack option!
We pick up a bag at Meijer while we’re grocery shopping and then hang out on the back deck together just enjoying some family time. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the best memories, especially now that school is back in session and our lives are even busier. I’m all about snagging those bits of time together!
