I’ve talked a lot recently about how this is such a busy time of year for us. With fall sports and dance keeping us busy before the holiday season, sometimes it creeps up on me. The kids both also celebrate birthdays in November and December so there’s a lot going on but when it comes to Christmas Wish List Ideas, the kids are always eager to sit down and start making their lists!

CHRISTMAS WISH LIST IDEAS YOU CAN COUNT ON!
We actually start working on our Christmas wish list ideas fairly early because I also use them for birthday gift ideas. But the kids never complain about working on their lists in October! I think they love the holiday season as much as I do.
Carrigan is excited to go shopping for a gift for her brother this year. She told me, “I’m going to go shopping all by myself!”
I love seeing her start to understand that the season is about more than just getting gifts.
But I also love sitting down with the kids to see the Christmas wish list ideas they come up with. Sometimes they really surprise me!
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that there are some toys that I can always count on to make the list. I can also count on them to be a hit when gift-giving time comes around.
You know what I’m talking about. We’ve all had it happen to us (or at least I hope I’m not alone). You buy the hottest gift of the year for your kids only to have it be unwrapped and set aside. Maybe they check it out later, but maybe not. Instead, they turn to the tried and true gifts. The toys brands you know you can count on.
The funny thing is that most of these brands made the wish lists AGAIN this year. So when it comes to holiday gifts, if you want to make it easy stick with what you know works!
Here are a few toys my kids have added to the Christmas wish lists! But shhhh, don’t tell them that they’re getting them!
CHRISTMAS WISH LIST IDEAS: LEGO
The LEGO brand has been a staple in our house since we bought Weston his first set of Duplo blocks years ago. Now that he’s older, I love how he can independently build bigger and bigger sets each year.
Plus, we get double duty from our LEGO sets because once he finishes the build, he usually plays with it for quite a while. Then he breaks it down and uses the blocks to make his own creations.
If you’re looking for a toy gift that you will get your money’s worth from, it’s definitely LEGO. Weston’s love has rubbed off on his little sister too! We all enjoy sitting down with new LEGO sets around Christmas and building together!
The LEGO Jurassic World Blue’s Helicopter Pursuit Set was at the top of his list this year because he doesn’t have any dinosaurs in his LEGO collection yet. I’m excited to have snagged it and a few of the other sets he was looking for at Kohl’s!
Kohl’s has a great selection of LEGO products to choose from when you’re doing your holiday shopping this year! Check them out!
CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS: DISNEY PRINCESS
My kids are both HUGE Disney fans. It runs in the family! Carrigan also loves dolls so Disney Princess dolls have been a gift-giving staple for her since last year.
I lucked upon the perfect big gift idea for her this year that fits perfectly with her Christmas Wish List! I’m so excited about the Rapunzel Castle from Kohl’s. I think she’s going to love it! I also bought some of her favorite princesses so Rapunzel has plenty of friends to play with!
The Rapunzel Castle is a Kohl’s exclusive. You can get it and tons of other great Disney Princess gifts at Kohl’s! Disney is always a hit so you know your gifts will be enjoyed!
MELISSA & DOUG TO KEEP THEM BUSY THIS CHRISTMAS
One of my other favorite brands to shop during the holidays is Melissa & Doug. As a mom, I love that Melissa & Doug products promote imaginative play in my kids. Our favorite things include the arts and crafts sets.
It’s a bit of a tradition of ours to order a few of the Melissa & Doug arts and crafts kits to have on hand in the days leading up to Christmas. They’re also great for those days after Christmas but before the kids go back to school. Keeping them busy means life is a little less crazy around here!
We’ll be getting creative with our new Melissa & Doug kits this year because our winter break is longer than in the past!
MORE CHRISTMAS WISH LIST IDEAS FROM KOHL’S
Kohl’s has become a bit of a one-stop shop for me when it comes to holiday shopping. In addition to LEGO, Disney Princess, and Melissa & Doug, they also have classic toy brands like Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. They’re both brands I’ve been shopping since my kids were little!
They’re classic brands with a wide variety of products so you can find something for every kid on your holiday shopping list!
The other reason I’ve already started doing my holiday gift shopping at Kohl’s is the convenience factor! I can shop and buy online or I can shop online and pickup at my local store! It makes it easy to get the shopping done no matter what else we’ve got going on!
Plus, there’s the beautiful thing called Kohl’s Cash! When you make purchases at Kohl’s you’ll often earn Kohl’s Cash to spend on later purchases! I love shopping for the gifts I need and then having some Kohl’s Cash to spend on myself later!
So if you’re looking for easy ways to take care of your kids and their Christmas wish list ideas, check out Kohl’s this holiday season! You can get all of the toys your kids are wishing for while making it convenient for yourself!
