If you’re looking for an AIO diaper, Kissaluvs Marvels are a great option!
I received a free product for review purposes. However, all opinions and experiences are 100% my own.
If you’re at all familiar with cloth diapers then you are probably familiar with All-in-Ones (AIOs) and they may even be your preferred diaper! AIOs offer the convenience of diposables in the cloth diaper format! There is no stuffing and you simply pull out the diaper and put it on your baby! It’s really that simple. Just as every type of diaper has its positives and negatives, AIOs are no exception. I have discussed the pros and cons of All-in-Ones before and we are still fans because they are so easy to use. They are great to stick in the diaper bag if you have room and they are wonderful for grandparents or for other caretakers who may be willing to use cloth but are nervous.
I have tried a number of AIOs during our cloth diapering journey and have been pleased with our experiences. The most recent AIO we had the opportunity to try was the Kissaluvs Marvels One Size AIO from Modern Cloth. I was excited to try this diaper because we are huge fans of the Kissaluvs Size 0 Fitteds for the newborn stage. Modern Cloth is your resource for cloth diapers and accessories in South Carolina’s Lowcountry and on the web. They have an amazing variety of products and brands so you are sure to find something that works for your family’s cloth diapering needs!
We were able to try the Grassy Green with a Butter interior. I have to say that I really like the contrasting color. The green is a nice, vibrant green and it is definitely different from all of our other diapers in terms of color. It was a very nice change of pace.
The Kissaluvs Marvels One Size AIO comes in snap closures and they are extremely easy to use!
I have noticed with some of my snap diapers, they don’t always snap very easily but this is not the case with the Kissaluvs Marvels! The snaps are easy to snap and they stay snapped!
The Kissaluvs Marvels AIO has a number of great features including:
- One size that fits from approximately 7 pounds to 35 pounds
- Waterproof exterior
- Stay-dry fleece interior
- Attached soaker that agitates out in the wash (I will discuss this feature further)
- Simple design for simple use, anyone can use it!
One of my favorite features that has nothing to do with function is the contrasting exterior and interior colors. I will admit that part of the fun of using cloth diapers is the variety of colors and prints that are available! I love diapers with colored interiors because they just add an extra cute factor.
Beyond the cute factor, I also like the softness of the Marvels interior. It is one of our softest diapers and I like always feel good knowing that the material touching W’s skin is so soft. It’s definitely a peace of mind thing but one that is important to me.
In the photo you can see the pocket in the back of the diaper. This is an All-in-One but has a very unique feature in the fact that the soaker is attached on one end and not the other so it can agitate out during the wash. I loved the idea behind this design element but I wasn’t convinced until I tried it myself. Well, it worked for me exactly as described and it was great for drying time! One of the drawbacks to AIOs is the drying time but the design of the soaker coming out of the diaper in the wash but remaining attached made it very similar to the drying time our pockets and inserts.
At 9 months, W weighs approximately 26 pounds and is 31″ long. He currently wears 18 and 24 month clothing. Yes, he has some 2T items that fit him decently. He is definitely a big guy so it is interesting to see how certain diapers fit him. It makes me worried for how long some of them will last, but we will figure it out.
The Kissaluvs Marvels AIO from Modern Cloth fits W well right now. The rise is not too high nor too low. It works well for fitting under his shorts as he mostly wears t-shirts and shorts now. We are using it on the biggest rise setting now so we will see how long it lasts if his length continues at the rate it has been going. One great thing about this diaper is that we still have plenty of snaps to go before we are on the last ones! As he moves more and more, his chubby tummy is slimming down so we should be okay for a while in terms of fit in the waist.
Despite his chunky thighs, the Marvels AIO fits well on W’s legs. The elastic is gentle but gets a nice, close fit which is great for those blowouts! Yes, ours survived a blowout after the first use! I suppose W really liked it!
Now that W is doing the army crawl all over the house, I look at diapers in a different way to make sure they don’t gape at the legs or the waist when he is moving. This AIO fits very snug no matter what position he is in, even when he is rolling around like a rolling pin! It is definitely a good diaper if you have an extremely active baby!
You can see that we get a nice fit around the waist whether W is standing up or sitting down. This has protected us more than a few times! This diaper has also proven to be extremely absorbent as well which is one of the most important features in a diaper! No one wants to be dealing with leaky diapers all day long. If you have a super soaker then I recommend that you try one of these diapers, especially if you are an AIO fan.
How This Diaper Fits on a Chunky Monkey: If you have a larger than average baby in both length and weight, I would say that the Kissaluvs Marvels One Size AIO is a diaper worth trying. On the largest setting, the rise is fairly generous. The elastic at the waist and legs can handle a belly and thighs. The generous number of snaps as well as the placement allows for great flexibility in adjusting the size for your child. The absorbency is definitely on the higher end and the ease-of-use is easy, easy, easy! This is a diaper that anyone can use whether they are a season cloth diaper veteran or trying them for the first time.
