Last week we used Kool-Aid to make homemade lip gloss kids love (Carrigan has been using it every day!). This weekend Weston mentioned that we’d made a recipe for homemade playdough once and he wanted to do it again. I think he’d seen kids making their own homemade playdough on YouTube!
Apparently, his wish is my command!
The list of ingredients for homemade playdough is pretty short and you might have everything in your kitchen already! We’ve included some affiliate links in case you need to order anything!
Then get ready because when your kids ask you, “Do you make homemade playdough?” you’ll be able to say,” Absolutely!”
Ingredients for Homemade Playdough
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 packet of Kool-Aid
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 Tablespoons salt
You can choose any flavor of Kool-Aid that you like! We chose Blueberry Lemonade this time because Carrigan was at the store with me and she loves the color blue! She also chose a packet of Lemon-Lime for Weston because it had lemons on it like her packet. I guess that’s what we’ll be making next!
