While I would love to have hours to bake adorable Easter goodies in the kitchen this year, it’s just not happening. Unless I can wear C on my chest and keep W interested, it’s not going to happen. But it doesn’t mean that we have to miss out on tasty and cute Easter cookies. One of my most recent purchases included food decorator pens. They are perfect for this time of year and these easy Easter Egg cookies!
Easy Easter Egg Cookies
While I’d love to bake some homemade sugar cookies and cute them into egg shapes, I found a super easy solution. Milano cookies! I saw small packages of three cookies in the Easter section of the store and was inspired. I’d been looking for a reason to use my food decorator pens and Easter was the perfect reason!
The great thing about making these easy Easter cookies is that kids of all ages can get involved. They can also be a learning opportunity if you’re looking for ways to talk about math concepts like patterns and symmetry.
What you need:
- Milano cookies
- Food decorator pens/Edible ink pens (affiliate link for my favorite pens on Amazon)
What you do:
- Use food decorator pens to decorate cookies to look like Easter eggs.
When I said these were simple, I really meant it. This could be a great activity to do on Easter weekend with the kids. Or a fun way to prepare for a family meal. Kids could help create these as a dessert option or to use as part of the table setting!
