Family Vacation Tips
When it comes to traveling with the kids, it can feel like there’s a lot to get done before you even leave your house.
But the magic of experiencing new places with them is worth it all.
There are a few things we’ve learned in our recent travels with the kids so here are a few of our favorite family vacation tips. Our favorite family vacation destination is Orlando, Florida and we’re looking forward to going back again soon!
Travel as Light as Possible
These family vacation tips are my top three for traveling with the family. They’re very simple but really make a difference!
When you’re packing for your vacation, pack as light as possible.
When you’re traveling with kids the less you have to bring with you, the less you have to deal with. Of course, you also want to make sure that you’re prepared.
So try to stay focused on what you actually need so you have less to deal with while also corralling excited kids! I have trouble with this when packing backpacks for when we fly. I always pack way too many extra clothes and things to keep the kids entertained.
My goal on our next trip is to only pack what I know we’ll need and use!
Family vacations can get a little hectic and chaotic, especially when the kids get overwhelmed or tired.
Even when things aren’t going as you planned or as perfectly as you’d like, do your best to stay focused on the experience and all of the good things happening.
On one of our trips to Orlando, Grambo got sick at the beginning and didn’t feel well the entire week. But we did our best to still get out and experience a little bit so we had the memories to take home.
Did we plan to spend as much time in the room resting? No. But we did our best to stay positive and do what we could.
Pack all the Technology
One of the best family vacation tips I’ve learned is to make sure we all have the technology that we’re used to having at home. Sometimes hotel televisions don’t have some of the channels that the kids are used to watching.
This is especially true on cruise ships!
So I make sure we have all of our tablets, phones, and other devices although with plenty of chargers and charging accessories! It’s time to change how you charge!
When it comes to being prepared to keep all of your family’s technology charged up, you don’t just have to use the cable and charger that came in the box!
Thanks to Samsung fast chargers, you can charge your phone a lot faster than you can with a traditional charger. You can even charge it quickly while using it!
Samsung fast chargers rapidly charge your devices up to 1.4x faster for select models.*
The wireless charging system eliminates the cables and charges your compatible Galaxy device by simply placing it on the pad.
Portable battery packs are my favorite way to make sure everyone stays charged up on the road! I’m pretty sure we own at least two per person in our family!
The Samsung portable battery pack lets you recharge your device quickly, so you can talk, text and surf longer when you’re out and about.
And from now through November 4th, you can save up to 20% on Samsung charging devices at Best Buy! It’s a great time to stock up on gifts or for your next trip!
