This Halloween Decorating with Candy post is part of a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starburst. I received product samples to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.
For many years, Grambo and I have enjoyed decorating the house for Halloween. Although we don’t have Halloween parties, we do enjoy making the house look festive and have acquired quite a few decor pieces over the years. A few years ago we discovered that one of our favorite ways to add a bit of whimsy to our decorations was to incorporate some of the fun candy that is available around Halloween!
Halloween Decorating with Candy
Tori Spelling (yes, I loved 90210) recently teamed up with Starburst Candy Corn to make some great Halloween decorations using the candy. Her ideas brought back memories of one of my favorite centerpieces that I made with Grambo. We used candy corn in a tall, clear vase along with some black branches we found. We spread “spider webs” on the branches and added a few little spiders. It was so cool and the candy added fun spin!
Tori’s dining room ideas such as napkin rings, festive favors, and mum balls definitely inspired me. You can see all of Tori Spelling’s ideas on the Starburst Candy Corn Facebook page! And get inspired like I did!
I wanted to create a new Halloween themed centerpiece for our dining room but I wanted to do it without spending a bunch of money. Why? Because we have so many Halloween pieces already that it seemed silly to buy a bunch of new decor. So off to the garage I went!
I found a few great pieces we already owned and it didn’t take much thought before I had a plan!
And a few minutes later, I had turned a not-so friendly gargoyle into a whimsical centerpiece for our dining room table! I loved that the Starburst Candy Corn added even a bit more color to the mix than regular candy corn. And luckily I had enough candy corn to decorate with even after eating a bit too much! Too tasty!
So, if you’re looking for some fun ways to decorate for Halloween, you don’t have to look far! Check out what you have and grab some Starburst Candy Corn, then get creating! It’s definitely a fun way to get festive this Halloween season!
