AppleCheeks cloth diapers have been part of our cloth diaper stash since the beginning as part of our newborn stash and with the generous sizing they carried on through the early months. AppleCheeks even makes one of my favorite swim diapers and I’m hoping the one we have still fits this summer when we head out to the pool again!
One reason I am an AppleCheeks fan is that they have a very unique design that is different from many of the other cloth diapers in our stash. They offer a two size envelope cover system which I believe helps get a better fit than other one size diapers. Our size 1 AppleCheeks fit W when he was just a few days old and worked until he weighed about 20 pounds. They are designed to fit up to 20 pounds and they did that for us!
Recently, we had the opportunity to try a size 2 and I was beyond thrilled because they are designed to fit up to 40 pounds! I was certain that we had found a diaper that would work for us for awhile and help me reduce the number of disposable diapers we have been using lately.
So how did the AppleCheeks size 2 work on a 35 pound little boy?
The proof is in the photos! There are two things I want to point out. The first is one of my favorite features of the AppleCheeks system and that is the elastic at the waist is in the back and the front! This is one of my favorite features because it prevents the diaper from gaping open in the front which is an issue we’ve had lately with many of our other diapers. The second is the rise! There is plenty of length in the rise which makes it great for taller babies and toddlers! Oh, and isn’t the Wild Child print just adorable?
AppleCheeks cloth diapers are a great solution for larger babies and toddlers!
