Lunch Date at Red Lobster Lobsterfest
J and I were overdue for a date. Well, we’re actually overdue for a few dates but I guess that is life with a toddler and a new baby. but recently we had the opportunity to try out Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest and it was the perfect reason to spend some times together. Grambo agreed to watch W and we packed C up and headed out for a little time together.
Yes, we had C with us but she slept most of the time so it was almost like we were alone. Besides, she’s pretty easy to handle at a restaurant! She loves to be out and about with plenty of things to see and hear.
Lobsterfest is back and better than ever! Red Lobster is featuring new mouthwatering lobster selections alongside classic favorites that are available only during Lobsterfest! This year, Lobsterfest offers more choice and variety than any other in Red Lobster history. There are nine different selections to choose from this year!
So we were more than a little excited to try out this year’s selection! Plus, it was nice to visit a restaurant and sit down to a meal I didn’t prepare myself! Oh, and J was more than a little thrilled to be able to enjoy one of his favorite things — Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits!
Pair those biscuits with a tasty lobster dish? Um, yes please. After we ordered our food, J and I found ourselves on our phones. When I heard the sound of him watching a video on his phone, I realized what was happening. I asked what he was doing and then realized that I was checking my email. So the phones went away! This was some much needed mom and dad time after all!
Luckily our salads arrived very quickly (we had wonderful service during our entire meal and the restaurant was well staffed even though it was early afternoon) so we were able to munch while we chatted about all sorts of things. But then the main course arrived and I was glad I’d saved plenty of room!
I hadn’t had lobster in a long time. In fact, I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed it. Even on our more recent trips to Red Lobster, we seemed to order shrimp most often because of the variety of different entree choices. It was nice to be able to splurge a bit and try the Rock Lobster Tail! Especially because I recently found out that lobster is high in protein and there are only 96 calories in 3.5 ounces of lobster! That’s my kind of delicacy!
This year’s Lobsterfest menu offers some great choices including favorites like the Lobster Lover’s Dream and the Ultimate Feast. But it also has three new entrees! Dueling Lobster Tails, Lobster in Paradise, an dUltimate Surf and Turf (J’s favorite) can all be tried during Lobsterfest. Visit the Red Lobster website for more information. You can also connect on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #bestlobsterfest.
We had a great lunch date and enjoyed sampling some tasty lobster (and biscuits) at Red Lobster! It was great to get a good meal and some good, quality time together! Plus, we learned how to crack open a lobster! Thanks Red Lobster!
