This post is part of the SPLENDA® 365 SWEET SWAPS ™ blogger program by McNeil Nutritionals, LLC. and The Motherhood, who sent me products and compensated me for my time. All thoughts and experiences are my own.
Making Sweet Swaps
We have been using SPLENDA® for years in things like iced tea and on my cereal. Those swaps always seemed easy for me to figure out and I felt good about reducing the amount of sugar in my diet. Experts recommend that women consume 6 teaspoons or less of added sugar a day. But the average American eats 22 teaspoons of sugar each day! I think I underestimate the amount of sugar I eat each day because it’s hiding in some of my favorite food and drinks. Fruit flavored yogurt, pasta sauce, and cereal are places I don’t think much about!
Making sweet swaps has definitely helped me on my journey to cut added sugar. When I was pregnant, I was all about tapioca pudding. It was one of the first places where I made the swap to SPLENDA® and it’s stuck. I’m able to enjoy one of my favorite sweet treats with less added sugar! And I have been using SPLENDA® Brown Sugar Blend in a lot of my baking projects because I have to feed my sweet tooth!
