Moroccon Spiced Stir Fry Recipe
With a new baby around the house, life has gotten a bit hectic. Less sleep combined with the same family demands has me looking for easy dinner ideas that still satisfy my family. Even with Grambo around to help, we are still adjusting to life with a toddler and a newborn. So easy is the name of the game right now.
Grambo had been wanting to try Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauces and now that I’m getting myself back into the kitchen, I was all for it. I love using our slow cooker to prepare meals because it is so easy. When we had the opportunity to try a few varieties of the sauces, I knew I could make a simply amazing weeknight dinner without much effort!
Of course, the first thing I had to do (and the most challenging part) was decide which one we wanted to try first! Grambo closed her eyes and picked one. I was thrilled to get to try the Moroccan Spiced Stew. And I knew immediately that I could turn it into a full meal by making it a stir fry.
How did I do this and make it easy? I added rice and mixed. It made for a very hearty and simple meal!
All you really need to add is chicken and in a few hours you will have Moroccon Spiced Stew courtesy of Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauce. Campbell’s recommends serving it with couscous but I didn’t think I stood a chance of getting my picky toddler to try it. So I opted for something more familiar.
I love taking new flavors and presenting them in a familiar way to encourage W to try new foods. And I loved how simple it was to make!
What you need:
- 1 pouch Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauce – Moroccon Spiced Stew
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 bags Boil in Bag rice
What you do:
- Place chicken in the slow cooker.
- Pour Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauce over chicken.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
- Prepare rice according to directions on packaging.
- Shred chicken.
- Serve rice in bowls with chicken on top or mixed.
I only spent about 10 minutes in the kitchen prepping the meal and the rest of the time was spent with the family. It only took 5 minutes of prep time to get the food in the slow cooker with Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauces. Then it took me 5 minutes to plate everything and serve it! It’s exactly the type of meal I need right now as I learn to balance a toddler and newborn!
Campbell’s Slow Cooker Sauce is available in a variety of flavors including:
- Tavern Style Pot Roast
- Sweet Korean BBQ
- Hawaiian Luau
- Moroccan Spiced Stew
- Mexican Red Chile Taco
