Are you a Star Wars fan? Maybe not (doubtful) but you probably know one. You’re probably related to one or live in a house of them like I do. If that’s the case, then next time you head to Walt Disney World be sure to check out these 6 ways to experience Star Wars at Hollywood Studios!
Ways to Experience Star Wars at Hollywood Studios
From morning through night, there are some amazing ways to really experience Star Wars at Hollywood Studios. I wanted to share a few of my favorites from my recent trip and show you how easy it is to live Star Wars while you’re in the park!
Start your day off at Star Wars Launch Bay. It will take you into the heart of the Star Wars saga. Watch a short film about the magic of the Star Wars world and all of the projects coming out of it, then check out special exhibits and special merchandise.
Oh and as you walk up to the Launch Bay, be sure to watch out for Storm Troopers on patrol. They’re not always up for a photo op!
But inside the Launch Bay, you can meet Chewbaca and Kylo Ren! Talk about photo ops! It’s also a great place to cool off if you’re at the park on a hot, hot day!
Shop Launch Bay Cargo
If you’re like me, part of the Disney magic is finding the perfect souvenir to take home with you. It makes the memories live on when we get home. So stop by Launch Bay Cargo and pick up something fun to help bring Star Wars to life when you get home.
You can also shop in the store outside of Star Tours to make your own light saber or your own droid! Personalize that Star Wars experience no matter how old or young you are! Justin and Weston had a blast creating their own droids!
Star Tours – The Adventure Continues
Star Tours is a 3D Flight Simulator where you get to experience the action and adventure of Star Wars. There are tons of different advetures so it’s a new ride each time. And the experience now includes characters and adventures from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple
Kids ages 4-12 can also participate in Jedi Training Academy: Trials of the Temple which is an outdoor show where the young Padawans can work on their Jedi skills.
This has become a very popular attraction and you need to sign up for a spot right when you arrive at the paper. Visit the Indiana Jones Adventures Outpost store to register to participate.
Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular
Symphony in the Stars is the Star Wars-themed fireworks show you can see every night at Hollywood Studios. The fireworks are centered behind the Great Movie Ride so if you can snag a spot on Hollywood Boulevard, you’ll have a great view.
I’ve seen them twice now. Once we were on the patio at Hollywood & Vine with a very good view. The second time was center stage at the Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party! If you’re looking for the perfect view, the dessert party definitely has it!
Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party
To make the fireworks experience even sweeter, check out the “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party.” It’s a special ticket event where you can enjoy desserts that are out-of-this-world along with specialty drinks like The Force. You also get a prime viewing for the fireworks show. Just don’t think too much about how you’re eating BB-8 while you watch. Trust me, he was tasty!
The party is available through March 19th and you can learn more about it at disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/symphony-in-the-stars.
We had a blast when we visited in January as a family. Justin and Weston were all about Star Wars at Hollywood Studios. And I had an amazing day in the park when I visited as part of the Zootopia press event.
We also had an amazing time seeing Disney’s Zootopia together opening weekend. It’s in theaters now so be sure to check it out with your family! Disney always takes care of families whether you’re at the parks or on a family movie date!
You can learn more about Zootopia by visiting the website or connecting on social media!
