Crockpot Cinnamon Apples are great for breakfast and also as a side dish with a hint of sweet to go along with dinner! Any recipe that can do double duty and is easy to make is one I make a lot!
Stir together the sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Spray the crock with non-stick cooking spray.
Put the apple slices in the slow cooker.
Then top with sugar mixture.
Drizzle the vanilla extract over all of the apples.
Then layer the pats of butter on top of the apples.
Cook on LOW for 4-5 hours.
Stir to combine and serve warm.
Notes
How thin you slice them depends on your time. You can use an apple corer and slicer and roll with that. I actually like the slices to be larger because they cook up soft in the slow cooker but don’t fall apart like they can with thinner slices. But this is where your family’s preference comes in. You can also dice them, though I prefer to do that after they’re cooked because of the softness.
