Valentine’s Day is a fun special day to celebrate with my kids for the whole month of February. It’s fun to do themed crafts and get in the kitchen with them. But not every snack we make together can be all about the candy and cookies. So I’m always on the hunt for Easy Valentine Snacks and this graham cracker smile treat is a great afternoon snack for kids of all ages! Plus they can help make them too!
Easy Valentine Snacks: Graham Cracker Smile
Although this snack has a few chocolate chips, the rest of the ingredients are healthy so it’s a great option if you’re trying to get away from the usual Valentine’s Day sweets. And if you have older kids, you could set the ingredients out for them to make on their own after school!
What you need:
- Graham Crackers
- Peanut Butter
- Strawberries (cored and thinly sliced)
- Chocolate chips
- Knife
What you do:
- Break your graham crackers in half.
- Spread peanut butter on top of each cracker.
- Place two strawberry slices on cracker like eyes.
- Use chocolate chips to make a smile.
This snack even works great for my picky eater! He loves peanut butter and graham crackers so it works well for any day of the year!
And if you want to let the kids get creative, give them a few extra chocolate chips and strawberry slices. Then let them create their own little edible valentines! It would be a fun activity to do if you’re have a Valentine’s Day party for the kids!
