While I loved yesterday’s Paint Swirl Ornament because of how colorful it is but I love today’s idea because Christmas is all about sparkles and shine! Today’s ornament idea in the 12 Days of DIY Christmas Ornaments is a Glitter Ornament! I love some glitter and so do the kids but you have to be willing to let things get a little messy!

12 Days of DIY Christmas Ornaments: Glitter Ornament

This is one of those ornament ideas that I love because we had almost everything we needed in the craft supplies we already had. I had to pick up some clear plastic ornaments but that was all. The rest of the supplies just took a craft closet raid! We had glitter in a few colors that were perfect for the holidays — silver, gold, red, green, and blue. So it worked out great to make more than one ornament!

    What you need:

    • Clear ornament
    • White craft glue
    • Glitter in choice of color
    • Scissors
    • Ribbon for hanging

    What you do:

    1. Add a few drops of white craft glue and shake the ornament well.
    2. Sprinkle in the glitter. You can add as much as you wish. Shake.
    3. Replace the hook and tie with ribbon for hanging.

They are really that easy to make!
