5 Ways To Have Fun Getting Dirty is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I spent years trying to cultivate grass in the dirt areas of my back yard. But then I discovered the joy of letting my grandkids use the areas as their personal playgrounds. They love getting dirty and we’ve found some easy ways to have fun getting dirty!

5 Ways To Have Fun Getting Dirty

Sometimes you just have to let the grandkids loose and let them come up with their own creative play. But sometimes a little direction from Grambo can get them going.

    1. Break out all those toy cars from the bottom of the toy box and make dirt roads.
    2. Spray a fine mist of water over the dirt area and draw pictures in the dirt using sticks as paintbrushes.
    3. Spray even more water on the dirt and make mud pies. You can use rocks and leaves to decorate your pies.
    4. Have a mud fight.
    5. Fill up a plastic container with lots of dirt and let the kids make up their own activities. Bring out spoons and other kitchen utensils to spark their creativity.

    Even dirt can be happy!

    Benefits of Dirt

Research has shown that some bacteria found in soil can activate the neurons in the brain that produce serotonin. Serotonin is a natural anti-depressant, so of course you feel good! And early exposure to microbes in dirt can help strengthen their immune systems. So let them get dirty!

    Cleaning Up

Getting dirty is fun, but then I need a practical, convenient, and affordable way to clean up their clothes. Cleaning their bodies is easy, I just break out the hose and rinse them off. The laundry takes a bit more effort but with ARM & HAMMER™ plus OxiClean™ Power Paks we’ve got it covered! Just toss in the wash, add their clothes, and the single use PAK dissolves quickly and also leaves your clothes smelling so fresh.

    Even cleaning up is fun!

So have fun with your grandkids and don’t worry about getting dirty!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Arm & Hammer. The opinions and text are all mine.
