    AIR FRYER AVOCADO TUNA MELT

Fried avocado is an indulgent treat that gets a healthier twist when you air fry it! Since I love avocado, I’m always on the hunt for ways to use it in our meals. Substituting bread in sandwiches with avocado is a great solution, especially if you’re following a low carb or keto lifestyle right now.

You can put pretty much any sandwich filling in an avocado and you have a delicious meal!

Low carb tuna melt made in the air fryer

Making an avocado tuna melt with StarKist E.V.O.O.โ„ข pouches cuts down the prep time of this recipe. It also means this recipe has a very short ingredient list! I like recipes with simple ingredients and StarKist E.V.O.O.โ„ข gives me that. They’re also GMO Free, Gluten Free, and Soy Free while being a natural source of Omega 3s and a good source of protein.

Pair them with a few more ingredients and you’ll be ready to get cooking!

    • 2 avocados
    • 2 pouches StarKist E.V.O.O.โ„ข Wild-Caught Yellowfin Tuna in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 1 cup shredded cheese
    • Salt and pepper, to taste

Ingredients to make an avocado tuna melt without bread

That’s how basic the ingredient list is! It means this is a simple meatless recipe to keep on hand!

To get started, spray your air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. (This will be a huge time saver when it comes to cleaning up!)

Then you will need to cut your avocados in half and remove the pit. Do not take them out of the skin! It’s important for this recipe. It’s almost like the serving dish for your low carb tuna melt!
