    AIR FRYER HOT POCKETS

One of the best parts about this simple recipe is that you only need a handful of ingredients to put them together. Thanks to the premade dough, you can stuff your pizza rolls in a few minutes and pop them in the air fryer to cook. To make homemade hot pockets, you’ll need the following ingredients.

    • Crescent roll dough
    •  Pizza sauce
    •  Mozzarella cheese
    • Mini pepperoni
    •  Melted butter
    • Garlic powder and dried parsley

Exact measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

This recipe takes about ten minutes to prepare and about five minutes to cook! It makes 8 pizza pockets.

I recommend trying these with our easy-to-make garlic dipping sauce recipe!

HOW TO MAKE AIR FRYER HOT POCKETS

Once you have all your ingredients gathered, you can start putting your pizza pockets together.

First, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate all the triangles.

Fill your crescent rolls with pizza toppings. Start by placing a small amount of pizza sauce in the center of the crescent roll. Then, top the sauce with a small pile of shredded cheese. After that, you can add your familyโ€™s favorite toppings.

We made pepperoni pizza rolls using mini pepperoni slices, but you could add any toppings to the center of your pizza rolls, like:

    • More meat, including ground sausage, bacon bits, chopped ham, or Canadian bacon.
    • Vegetables, like chopped green pepper, onion, mushrooms, or olives.
    • Extra cheese, like cheddar, parmesan, or Monterrey Jack.

Since the space inside your pizza rolls is fairly small, itโ€™s a good idea to finely chop the toppings before adding them to the crescent rolls. This will make it easier to seal the pizza rolls and keep them from exploding in the air fryer as they cook.

After filling your hot pockets with your favorite toppings, seal the crescent rolls by bringing the two long points together at the top. Then, bring the other two sides up to the top and pinch all the ends together tightly, making sure there are no holes or openings.

If required by your model, preheat air fryer to 375ยฐ. When the air fryer is hot, place each crescent roll in the air fryer basket, making sure theyโ€™re not touching to help the air circulate between each pizza roll as they cook.

When the cooking time is up, carefully remove the rolls from the basket and brush each one with melted butter. Sprinkle the top of each pizza roll with garlic powder and dried parsley before serving.

You can enjoy your own homemade air fryer pizza pockets together! They’re perfect for Friday night pizza night together!

For an even more homemade approach to this recipe, you can also use homemade pizza dough! That can be fun to make with the kids!

If you’re looking to try another easy recipe that is a favorite of our family, try making air fryer fried pickles. You can also use the air fryer to cook your frozen pizza rolls!

CAN YOU COOK A HOT POCKET IN THE AIR FRYER?

If you want to cook a premade, frozen hot pocket in the air fryer, you can do that!

I recommend using the fryer over the microwave because you get a nice crisp crust.

Place the Hot Pocket in the air fryer basket without the crisping sleeve. Cook for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. If you’re making more than one Hot Pocket, be sure to put them in a single layer in the basket and allow space for air to circulate.

This cooking method does take longer, but you get an amazingly crisp crust!

CAN YOU STACK HOT POCKETS IN THE AIR FRYER?

Do not stack your pizza pockets in the air fryer basket. Keep them in a single layer to allow the hot air to circulate around each pastry.

The size of your air fryer will determine how many you can cook at one time. But keep them to a single layer so that you get a well-cooked and crispy pizza pocket!
