Cleaning

There’s nothing quite like a sparkling clean bathroom. With two young kids, keeping the bathroom clean often feels like the chore that it is. Using a bathroom cleaning checklist is one way I’ve streamlined the cleaning process.

BATHROOM CLEANING CHECKLIST

Everyone told me when I had a boy, there would be more to do when it came to cleaning the bathroom. I didn’t believe them, but it’s definitely proven to be true. With two kids, I really do need to clean the bathrooms once a week.

By making a bathroom cleaning checklist with a limited number of steps (that still cover everything that needs to be done), I’ve streamlined the cleaning process and made it easier to get it done.

Another thing that has been a huge help in making the bathroom less of a chore is what we use to clean with. I’ve mentioned Art of Green cleaning products before when I shared my tips for how to clean the refrigerator and more eco-friendly ways to clean around the house.

Art of Green products have become staples in my house. I love that the products are 98% naturally derived with no harsh chemicals. They’re safe for use around kids and pets. Considering my days have me surrounded by my two kids and my two dogs, this is so important to me.

Art of Green also gives me great cleaning performance and affordability. I’ve used the cleaning spray and wipes in every room of our house. I keep a stash in the laundry room, kitchen, and bathrooms so I always have them nearby. Art of Green cleaning wipes are perfect for my busy mom life.

BATHROOM CLEANING SCHEDULE

Cleaning the bathroom could easily take me hours, but I’ve narrowed my routine down to the basic things that need to be done each week to leave our bathrooms fresh and clean. I do a deeper clean every so often as well, but these are the items on my bathroom cleaning list:

  • Wipe down the counters
  • Wipe down the sink & faucet
  • Clean the mirror
  • Clean the toilet bowl
  • Wipe down the outside of the toilet & handle
  • Clean the tub/shower
  • Wipe off doorknobs
  • Empty the trash
  • Sweep & Mop the floor
If I’m focused, I can tackle this entire list very quickly. With three bathrooms in our house, doing things quickly is important but I also want to make sure everything is really clean.

With Art of Green products, I’m able to tackle almost every job on my bathroom cleaning chart.

I use the Multisurface Cleaning Wipes for the counters and sinks. The Multisurface Cleaning Spray works great around our toilets, tubs, and showers. Art of Green is tough on dirt, grease, and grime which is exactly what I need to tackle our bathrooms.

To make it even easier, I made the printable bathroom cleaning checklist and I keep inside the cabinet door. You could also print one and keep it with your cleaning supplies. Having the visual helps me run through my list and get the job done quickly!
