I take photos all day long for the blog and then take photos of my kids at baseball, at dance, and at the pool when I’m done working. I take a lot of photos and I’ve always been on the hunt for the best way to store digital photos.
I’ve tried a few different approaches to storing and organizing my photos and recently found a new solution that’s working well for our family!
THE BEST WAY TO STORE DIGITAL PHOTOS
We spend a lot of time watching my son play baseball games and my daughter dance. Now that the weather has warmed up, we’re at the pool all the time. But some of the grandparents live many states away, so those pictures are important and I love sharing them. Right now I use social media but feel like I can’t share all of the photos I might like to share because it is public in nature.
Some moments are just meant for those who are really close to us.
When I learned about ibi, I loved that I can use it to store my digital photos and videos. But I also loved that it offered me a way to manage my photos and share photos with the important people in our lives without using my social media. I can add our family and out closest friends and capture all of the moments we want to remember!
ORGANIZING MY DIGITAL PHOTOS
I’ll keep it real and admit that I rarely delete photos and I often take multiple photos of the same thing to make sure I get one. That’s a lot of unorganized photos!
I also take photos with my phone and with my digital camera, depending on the situation. So I’ve got photos in multiple locations without much organization at all.
One thing that surprised me about ibi was how I could sync up all of my photos and videos. Being able to sync from different devices and even from the cloud made me feel like I finally had some control over all of the photos I take!
Plus I like having my photos backed up and not just sitting on my computer. You never know what might happen to your computer!
This has been the year of doing small things to get more organized in my life. I’ve started trying to organize my digital photos more than a few times and have never finished the job.
I’ve been using the app for ibi on my phone to search for photos and find the photos I’m looking for. Then I’ve been creating albums and finally getting all of the photos organized!
I’ve loved getting all of our baseball photos in one place. I’ve taken them on my phone and my camera so finally having a place to store them all together makes me happy!
I knew I needed an easy way to store and organize my digital photos, so I’ve been enjoying using ibi. I’ve rediscovered some photos I’d forgotten I’d taken!
SHARING DIGITAL PHOTOS WITH EASE
The feature that attracted me to ibi was the ability to share privately share with the people we’re close to in our lives. Our inner circle likes to know what’s going on with the kids, especially when they haven’t seen them in a while.
With ibi, our family and friends literally became our inner circle! In the app for ibi, there is an area called Inner Circle which is where you can share all of your memories privately! I love that it’s easy to share specific photos with certain members of the family.
I love having a place where I can share as I do on social media, but where I also have control over who is seeing our photos and videos. It’s also great for our family members who don’t use social media much! Except for Grambo, the grandparents aren’t very active on social media. So now we have a great way for us to share photos back and forth without them having to worry about the social media aspect!
WHY IS THIS THE BEST WAY TO STORE DIGITAL PHOTOS?
There are a few simple reasons why ibi is the best way to store digital photos for me and my family.
- It’s easy to set up. There wasn’t anything complicated to set up. I plugged in our ibi and downloaded the corresponding app. Then I was ready to go!
- ibi has a lot of storage. With 2 terabytes (TB) of storage, I can store approximately 500,000+ photos or over 200 hours of video. I don’t have to worry about running out of storage space!
- Setting up albums to organize photos is easy to do. You can also search by keyword or browse by date!
- Sharing is also simple. The Inner Circle offers a feed that’s private and only seen by your people. It’s also easy to share albums or create albums that your family and friends can also add photos!
