4 Clorox Bleach Uses For Your Backyard

Before I was a mom, I didn’t use bleach very often. I thought it was only for getting my clothes whiter and brighter. I really thought that was all there was to it. But I’ve learned a lot about the power of bleach over the last few years. As we get ready for warmer weather here, I’ve taken it even further and discovered some great Clorox Bleach uses for our deck and backyard!

CLOROX BLEACH USES FOR THE BACKYARD

Clorox Bleach is a huge help in the laundry room, especially with kids who play sports. It helps me keeping uniforms looking good. It also helps keep those precious items of white clothing looking great.

But bleach isn’t just for the laundry room. You can use it all around your house. I’ve used it to clean grout and floors. It’s great for freshening up toilets. But it can also go outside and help around the house too!

The one problem with taking it outside is that lugging the big bleach bottle around feels like it’s just asking for a mess. Clorox has come up with a great spill-free solution that gives me more confidence when I’m cleaning with bleach.

Clorox® Control Bleach Crystals™ are solid Bleach Crystals that solve the problem of splashing bleach when you’re trying to pour it. You get the same power of Clorox Bleach but the Bleach Crystals are water-activated so it’s easier to handle than before!

The Clorox Bleach Crystals are a convenient option for our family. I also love that I can store them in my cleaning cabinet way easier than the big bottle of liquid bleach.

If you’re looking for something lighter and easier to handle than traditional heavy bleach bottles, the Clorox Beach Crystals are a great alternative. They’re just as affordable as liquid bleach and they take up less storage space! Plus you can save time by skipping the grocery store and ordering your Clorox Control Bleach Crystals on Amazon.com!

I’m a huge fan of being able to get basics for our home on Amazon. I don’t think I’m alone either. So I stocked up on Clorox Beach Crystals and once they were delivered, I was ready to work on freshening up our outdoor living space!

You can purchase Clorox Zero Splash Bleach Crystals for your home by visiting Amazon.com!

GETTING A DEEP CLEAN ON THE DECK

We have a deck area that takes up a large space outside of our back door. It’s amazing for entertaining. But with the humidity in the Houston area, we often find all of the outdoor surfaces can get some mildew on them.

We power wash the deck, the siding, and the back doors about once a year but using bleach has proven to be a great way to clean all of the surfaces in our backyard.

Clorox Bleach Crystals are perfect for the job too!

    Mixing Clorox Bleach Crystals

They’re so easy to use. I filled the dosing cap to line 1 and added the crystals to 1 gallon of water. Then I was able to wipe down surfaces around our deck. Once I wiped down with the bleach solution, we rinsed with water and let everything air dry.

    It was that easy!

    Mixing Clorox Bleach Crystals

    1. Fill cap to line 1.
    2. Add to 1 gallon of water.
    3. Wipe down surfaces.
    4. Rinse with water.
    5. Air dry.

We did this on our back door that wasn’t looking pretty and I was amazed at the results. Before we used the Clorox Bleach it had was green near the bottom and just spraying it with water wasn’t working.

Dirty back door of a house

After we used our Clorox Bleach Crystals, it was white again making it a great option for mildew stain removal!

Now I need to finish the other side of the door and it will be looking really amazing!

    CLEANING AROUND THE BACKYARD

We were also able to clean algae off some of our favorite stepping stones in the backyard!

Check out the algae on it before we started cleaning!

It’s looking so much better now!

We plan to do a bit more cleaning around the edges and I think it will look as good as when we first got them!

Clorox Bleach Crystals made it easy to tackle algae stain removal and bring the surfaces of our backyard back to life after the fall and winter.

Clorox Bleach Uses in a Spray Bottle

    FRESHENING UP FOR SPRING ENTERTAINING

After mixing up our Clorox bleach solution, I put it in a spray bottle and we got to work! It’s perfect for freshening up all kinds of surfaces around the yard. You can use it on your siding and even your umbrella!

Our patio umbrella was looking grim. It isn’t very old but had been looking like it’s been through the wringer. All it took was a spray down and a rinse for it to start looking like new again!

Cleaning outdoor patio furniture is one of the easiest Clorox Bleach uses

I can’t wait to finish the rest of the umbrella and really get our deck looking great for when we start having friends and family over again. It’s a big project but we will get it done!

BRIGHTENING WITH A POP OF COLOR

If there’s one thing that I love after winter as the weather warms up, it’s the pops of color. This is true for our back deck and our backyard. We have some great chairs that we love because they’re comfortable and they add a fun pop of color.

But after sitting outside all winter, they’re not quite as bright and clean as I’d like.

Clorox Control Bleach Crystals are perfect for brightening them up! I followed the directions on the bottle to easily mix bleach.

    1. Fill cap to line 1.
    2. Add to 1 gallon of water.
    3. Wipe down surfaces.
    4. Rinse with water.
    5. Air dry.

Washing off a deck chair with a garden hose

With those simple steps, I was able to get our extra deck chairs ready for having our friends and family over this spring and summer!

I love knowing that we’re making our backyard a cleaner place for our family to enjoy!

When the weather finally starts to thaw out where you are, be sure to order your Clorox Control Bleach Crystals on Amazon! You’ll have your outdoor space freshened up and ready for your family in no time at all!

Of course, you can also use them for your laundry and have some of the freshest laundry around too! I love that we get convenience and versatility! Perfect for this time of year!
