Counting Mittens Winter Activity Printable for Preschool
Saving links to every winter printable activity I can find has saved the day for me on more than one occasion. When I need something for the kids to do and nothing we have around the house seems to make them happy, winter preschool printables always seem to come to the rescue!
I look for printables that have different types of activities to keep the kids engaged. It’s one reason I was inspired to make our Counting Mittens pack!
We’ve also got affiliate links to pick up any of the basic supplies you might need to do all of the activities.
Evens and Odds
These mittens are arranged so that odds are on the left mitten and evens are on the right mitten. Practicing evens and odds with these mittens will help your child understand the pattern.
Practice counting by ordering these mittens. Use small manipulative items such as buttons, beads, or small “snowballs” (cotton balls) to count out the number written on randomly picked mittens.
Counting by 2s
Pair mittens together left and right. Use pairs to count by twos. Show your child how every other mitten is the next number you count.
Throwing Snow Balls
Attach a string to each mitten and place white beads equal to the number of the mitten on each. This creates a fun hands on counting activity for each number 1-20.
This winter printable activity pack also includes a fun winter coloring printable complete with a snowman and sleds! Talk about getting into the winter mood with the kids! Now you just have to download it and decide which activity to do first!
