    Evens and Odds

These mittens are arranged so that odds are on the left mitten and evens are on the right mitten. Practicing evens and odds with these mittens will help your child understand the pattern.

    Basic Counting

Practice counting by ordering these mittens. Use small manipulative items such as buttons, beads, or small “snowballs” (cotton balls) to count out the number written on randomly picked mittens.

    Counting by 2s

Pair mittens together left and right. Use pairs to count by twos. Show your child how every other mitten is the next number you count.

    Throwing Snow Balls

Attach a string to each mitten and place white beads equal to the number of the mitten on each. This creates a fun hands on counting activity for each number 1-20.
