Easy Finger Foods for Game Day
When it comes to game day foods, I have some staples that I seem to depend on. It’s the usual suspects like chips and more chips along with our favorite dips.
But sometimes I want some variety and that’s when I turn to our favorite easy finger food recipes. One of my favorite things to make are mini sandwiches. They always go over so well when our friends and family are over to watch football!
Slow cooker meat recipes on slider buns are some of the easiest options.
Easy Finger Food Recipes
Here are a few things we’ve tried in the pastthat have become staples in our house throughout the entire season! I usually pick a sandwich to go with our usual chips and dips or a collection of other easy finger food ideas!

One thing a lot of my recipes don’t have is heat. Justin loves a good spicy recipe, which is why he was thrilled when I offered a new easy finger food for our next homegating party!
This Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs recipe is now officially in our rotation of simple finger foods for football season! They’re a great alternative to making sliders or mini sandwiches!
Easy Finger Food Ideas: Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs

Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs Ingredients
- 1 can (11 oz.) refrigerated pizza dough
- 8 hot dogs
- 3 Tbsp. baking soda
- water
- 1 container (5 oz.) French’s Crispy Fried Jalapeños, crushed
How to Make Jalapeño Pretzel Dogs
- Heat the oven to 400°F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add hot dogs and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from water and allow to cool so you can handle them. Save the hot dog water!
- While the hot dogs are cooking, roll out pizza dough and cut lengthwise into eight 1/2″ strips.
- Spread the crushed jalapeños in a pie dish or small baking dish.
- Pour one cup of the hot dog water into a bowl that is big enough to fit the hot dogs.
- Add the baking soda and stir until dissolved.
- Wrap each hot dog with one strip of dough, twisting it around and back. Leave a 1/2 inch space at each end.
- Carefully dip each wrapped hot dog into the water mixture being sure to cover it completely.
- Gently roll each hot dog in the crushed jalapeños and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until browned on top.
- Serve with French’s Ketchup and French’s Classic Yellow Mustard.

The French’s Crispy Fried Jalapeños are an amazing new discovery for us! They add a kick to all of our favorite meals and Justin has been adding them to everything! They’re made with real jalapeños and add the spicy and crunchy he likes to pretty much everything!
I loved that I was able to pick them up at my local Kroger store when I was doing our grocery shopping! They weren’t too far from the French’s Ketchup and French’s Classic Yellow Mustard that we always have to have in our kitchen!
