Our easy outdoor superhero activities for kids are proof that you can have a blast and go on adventures without having to do a lot of prep or go very far from home! Check out all of the fun ideas we came up with this summer!
Easy Outdoor Superhero Activities for Kids
When it comes to my kids, they’re a lot like other kids. They love playing outside, using their imaginations to create games, and they love superheroes!
We’ve had some amazing adventures this summer, but Grambo and I found ourselves trying to figure out how to turn our ordinary days at home into more adventurous experiences for the kids too!
We let Danimals challenge us to get creative! We stocked up on Danimals and other supplies at Walmart and prepared to have some fun!
Easy outdoor superhero activities became the plan for one of our days when the kids didn’t have any activities scheduled! With just a few supplies, we turned an ordinary afternoon into a creative adventure as they honed their superhero skills!
Plan Your Own Outdoor Superhero Activities
Getting started doesn’t have to take a lot of money or planning. Look through your outdoor toys to see what you have. You’d be surprised how easily some common toys can be turned into superhero challenges. Here are some of our favorite things to use:
- Bubbles
- Water Balloons
- Squirt Guns
- Plastic Cups
- Sprinkler
- Water Hose
And that’s just beginning. If you put your thinking cap on, you’ll probably be able to turn anything into some great outdoor superhero activities for your kids. Check out what we did!
Web Shooting Skills
For older kids, pick up a few cheap cans of silly string and let them test their web shooting skills. Give each person a different color. You could see who can spray the furthest or try to hit targets for accuracy practice.
Target Practice
Grab your toys that shoot water and some plastic cups to set up a target practice for your little superheroes.
You can use any toys that shoot water and anything to build targets. Older kids can stand further back while the younger ones can get up close. Carrigan decided that she needed to be nice and close. Not sure accuracy in target practice is her superpower but she was having a blast!
Sprinkler Agility
Superheroes must be quick and agile. Break out your sprinkler and have the kids do some agility practice with it! See who can jump highest over the water. Or start them out dry and see who stays the driest as the run through and try to avoid the spray.
You can also get out the water hose and do activities like limbo to see who is the most flexible and could possibly sneak into tight places. There are all sorts of superpowers to be honed while playing in the water!
Blow Away the Competition
Turn the bubble blowing your kids love to do into part of your superhero adventure as they train to have super bubble blowing strength. This is where imaginations definitely get going!
Challenge your kids to think about how big of a bubble they could blow if they were superheroes. Who would they capture or protect with that bubble?
Almost any outdoor activity can be given a superhero twist!
Once you’re done, be sure to have plenty to fuel up your little superheroes! Once they get cleaned up and dried off, they’re going to want snacks! I’m telling you this from experience!
When you need a quick and nutritious snack that you know your kids will love, think about keeping Danimals in your refrigerator through the summer!
Kids love the taste of Danimals and I feel good about having a convenient snack option that is packed with nutrition including:
- good source of calcium
- good source of vitamin D
So keep them on hand (they must be refrigerated) for quick snack options or even for when you’re on the go!
