Easy Ways to Save Money on Baby Formula
Both of my kids were fed in a combination of ways when they were babies. I didn’t produce enough milk to feed them exclusively so baby formula was a big part of our lives for a long time.
If you find that baby formula and formula feeding is what works for your family, then you might be like me. I started looking for easy ways to save money on the infant formula we needed.
Notice, I said easy. I like things to be simple and easy as you probably know. I’m not going to spend hours cutting coupons or shopping at multiple stores for the best deals. But I still wanted to save money on baby formula if I could!
How to Save Money on Baby Formula
There are a few simple things you can do that will help you save money on baby formula without having to spend much time.
When you have an infant in the house, time is not something you have just laying around! So keep it simple and you’ll be able to save while getting the complete nutrition you want and need!
Tip 1. Get coupons and samples.
If you talk with your pediatrician, they often have infant formula samples they can give you. If you’re looking to try out different brands or different formulations, this is a great way to do it while saving money.
Most infant formula brands also offer their own coupons and rebate checks. They’re easy to sign up for and you can even do it while you’re pregnant! Visit the brand’s website and sign up for the mailing list. This is another easy way to try out different brands and formulas.
Tip 2. Use powder formula.
In the beginning of our journey with infant formula, the ready to feed version was extremely convenient. But it was also pretty pricey. Switching to the powdered formula was an easy way to save on baby formula.
As my babies got older and we were busier, I found that it was often easier to take powdered formula out and about with us as well. So it was a simple switch that worked well for us!
