Elf on the Shelf Ideas: Elf Manicure

Elf on the Self season has arrived! Although W and C are not quite old enough to really get it, I love the idea of the tradition and coming up with fun ideas for what our elf can do once he arrives. Our elf is still nameless but we do call him Chippy because last year, W loved the Elf on the Shelf special that aired on TV. Perhaps next year W can finally name our elf. But until then, I’m content to dream up fun ideas for our nameless elf!

In honor of December and our elf, I’m bringing you a week of Elf on the Shelf ideas to help inspire your elf antics!

Elf on the Shelf Ideas: Elf Manicure

If you happen to have any girls in the house, you may have a drawer full of nail polish. Even without daughters, you might have plenty of your own nail polish. I’m not even big into painting my nails and I have at least 5 or 6 bottles of nail polish for special occasions. They are the perfect props for an elf manicure and pedicure station!

I love this idea because you could easily just set your elf up with the bottles of polish. Or you could turn it into a fun family activity and pamper each other with manicures and pedicures inspired by your elf. You could use holiday colors or just your child’s favorite colors!

Elf on the Shelf Ideas: Manicure

My favorite elf on the shelf ideas involve using things from around the house to stage the set ups. It is an affordable way to start a family tradition this holiday season!

Do you have an Elf on the Shelf? What is your elf’s name?

We just got the Elf on the Shelf today. I’m not even kidding, someone anonymously left it at my door, rang the bell, and apparently booked it hard to get away because we opened the door not even 5 seconds later. I tried resisting it, I really did. I thought it was going to be creepy, but it’s actually SUPER cute!! Ours is a girl named Peppermint Patty. I am using your manicure idea tonight! :)
