I had the chance to experience Disneyland Holidays and more on behalf of Disney as part of the #TheLastJediEvent. This post is sponsored, but all thoughts and opinions are mine!
Disneyland Holidays: The Rides You Should Ride
When it comes to my bucket list, visiting Disney during the holidays has been on the list for a long time. Something about Disneyland holidays just seemed like something I needed to see.
I love the holiday season and I love Disney. So it only makes sense, right?
As part of the The Last Jedi press trip, we had the opportunity to drop in and visit Disneyland so I got to cross Disneyland holidays off my list! (Of course, now I’ve added that I have to take my kids to experience it onto the list!)
Walking into the park to the giant Christmas tree is a wonderful way to kick off a holiday celebration with your family. There’s nothing like a good Christmas tree and you can find more than a few throughout the parks at the Disneyland resort!
But there is a more breathtaking sight to see. Be sure to enjoy the gorgeous holiday decorations as you walk down Main Street. Then stop at Sleeping Beauty’s Castle as you make your way into the park.
It’s a must-see. It’s more like a stop and gaze for awhile kind of thing.
It’s absolutely stunning during the holiday season.
Once you’ve seen the castle, there are two rides you have to enjoy while you’re at the Disneyland Park.
The Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” both get amazing holiday treatments that make them even more special. Both rides are classics and some of our family’s favorite Disney rides.
They may not be the most thrilling of all the rides at Disneyland resort but they are certainly some of the most classic. The nostalgia is real when you’re riding them.
Disneyland Holidays pack the Disney magic with the most wonderful time of the year. Be sure to experience all of the special holiday offerings:
- “it’s a small world” Holiday
- Haunted Mansion Holiday
- A Christmas Fantasy Parade
- “Believe… In Holiday Magic” Fireworks
I’ve heard the parade is a must-see! I can’t wait to go back and take my kids to see it one day!
Both the Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure get decked out for the holidays! If you love Christmas lights, trees, and all things holiday, just a walk through the parks is a wonderful experience.
We had a blast riding Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters! I love Christmas music so turning it into Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl made it extra special for me!
While you’re visiting Disney’s California Adventure, be sure to check out all of the holiday offerings:
- Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl
- Mater’s Jingle Jamboree
- World of Color – Season of Light
- Festival of Holidays Festive Foods Marketplace
You can also find photo opportunities with characters dressed for the holidays, a gorgeous tree, and even Santa with his reindeer in the sky (near the Hyperion).
Star Tours featuring The Last Jedi
The holiday experience at Disneyland was wonderful! But there’s a lot more you can do while you’re visiting the parks.
If you’re a Star Wars fan, you won’t want to miss Star Tours – The Adventure Continues at Disneyland Park because it features footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi!
It’s also one of my family’s favorite rides (Carrigan is actually a HUGE fan) so we always ride it when we visit Disney. But the scenes from Star Wars: The Last Jedi made it just a bit more special! You can also stop by the STAR WARS Launch Bay to check out some great memorabilia and maybe even have a run in with Kylo Ren!
The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th so this is the perfect time to check out Star Tours if you’re visiting the Disneyland Park!
If you’re looking for a movie-related recommendation for when you visit Disney’s California Adventure, you should definitely help Rocket and ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
It features amazing music with six different song possibilities! Each song has a different drop sequence that goes along with it so you can get a different experience every time you ride!
Be sure to pay attention when you’re waiting in line. The building is the home to artifacts from Taneleer Tivan, aka The Collector.
You can see the Guardians of the Galaxy held captive, the Matterhorn Yeti, Cosmo the Space Dog, Figment, plenty of Tower of Terror references, and more!
There’s so much magic to enjoy during Disneyland holidays! It’s definitely a bucket list experience that I can’t wait to share with my family!
