This post is sponsored by Sam’s Club, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love entertaining during the summer but sometimes I feel overwhelmed! I get caught up in all of these ideas when the best way for me to have people over is to keep it simple! One of the ways I do this for the 4th of July is by focusing on easy Fourth of July food because that’s what my friends and family really care about!

I’m partnering with Sam’s Club to share some of my favorite Fourth of July food ideas because Sam’s Club is one stop shop for getting everything we need to entertain our friends and family this summer!

Fourth of July Food doesn't have to be complicated! Easy ideas for desserts, appetizers, sides & more will help you enjoy more time with your family! These are great ideas for kids and for a crowd or a small group!

Easy Fourth of July Food Ideas

If you’re getting ready to do some July Fourth entertaining, don’t let it overwhelm you! Sure, there are tons of complicated desserts you can make and you can definitely get fancy with those side salads, but you can also keep it simple and have a great day!

I recently hit Sam’s Club to pick up some basics for grilling up a simple meal for our friends. Sam’s Club works great because I can get enough of what I need to keep everyone fed and happy.

Keep it simple with easy Fourth of July food, plates, and napkins by focusing on the basics and adding some easy touches!

    Fourth of July Party Food

When you’re at Sam’s Club, there is so much to choose from! But if you want your July Fourth cookout to be easy, focus on the basics. Pick up the items that you need (and that will save you time!) like:

    • Hamburgers – I got the premade patties because they save me time in the kitchen and give me more time with the people I want to hang out with!
    • Hot dogs – If a lot of kids are coming, these are a Fourth of July food must-have in our circle
    • Hamburger and hot dog buns
    • Sides – Potato salad, coleslaw and other sides are delicious and save you time!
    • Fruit – Sam’s Club always has great produce that I cannot resist!
    • Sweet Corn – When it comes to Fourth of July foods, I feel like this is the definition of summer.
    • Condiments and veggies for burgers
    • Sweet treats – We’ve been trying to eat more fruit and skip the sweets but the Sam’s Club bakery and Member’s Mark Super Premium ice cream make the perfect addition to any summer get together!
    • Paper products – Save time on the clean up by picking up paper plates, cups, napkins and plastic cutlery

Those are my basic Fourth of July food ideas and I can get it all done in one stop at Sam’s Club!

Tips for Easy Fourth of July Food

My biggest tip is to keep it all simple. You’ll spend less time prepping food and more time with the people you love. Get as many items that will make things easier as you can when you’re shopping.

And don’t worry about everything being July Fourth themed! You don’t have to go hunting for cute plates and napkins to make it a great day. Get your basic plates, napkins and cups at Sam’s Club then go home and see what you’ve got to add to them!

Look through your kitchen to see what red, white and blue items you have. Any dishes you have can be used to give your meal a patriotic feel without buying themed supplies.

Drawing stars on napkins for July Fourth entertaining

Putting plastic forks and spoons in a red cup makes for a cute way to organize the table! Then grab a marker and add some patriotic stars to the corners of your plain white napkins!

Those are some quick and easy ways to give your day a Fourth of July feeling without going crazy!

When it comes to the actual food, stick to the basics. Hamburgers and hot dogs are always going to make the people happy. You don’t have to get too complicated!

Pairing a burger with some sweet corn just feels like summer!

Festive Fourth of July Food Ideas (That Are So Easy!)

If you’re feeling the need for a bit more of a festive feeling in your July Fourth food, we’ve got some easy ideas!

You can turn watermelon (my favorite summer fruit) into a festive and fun to eat side or healthy dessert just by using a cookie cutter, some craft sticks, and some washi tape!

Check out how cute these watermelon pops are for the 4th of July!

Or you can mix some fruit with a bit of a sweet treat for a fun American flag! Pairing berries with marshmallows is an easy and fun side dish to make. It’s so easy that the kids can do most of it themselves!

My kids love helping in the kitchen so this one is a great way to get them involved! Use toothpicks for extra fun! Everyone can create tiny red, white and blue kabobs on a toothpick. It’s just a fun little way to enjoy a sweet treat!

If you’re looking for another easy treat to make, try our red, white and blue sandwich cookies!

You can actually get the entire family involved in preparing for your July 4th guests! Teamwork makes it even easier and you don’t end up with just one person stuck in the kitchen or at the grill keeping everyone fed.

Keep it simple and add pops of red, white and blue whenever you can. It’s the easiest way to get that Patriotic vibe that’s perfect for July Fourth without putting too much pressure on yourself!
